Creepy Candelabra!

Hi Shary here and for my last posting I've made a creepy Halloween project.

I have used a fantastic kit called Creepy Candelabras. This project is called Creepy Chandelier but I found it stands perfectly for a table decoration too. You can put a little battery powered tea light in the middle. So I cut it out using my favourite coloured card , purple. But then I thought it would look great with a scary spider and web :0). So I used two SIL  files from Snapdragon Snippets. The Spider Web Corner file  #46584  which I added some glitter to and also the Spiders file #46585  and I added glossy accents to him.
This is my last project for SVG Attic so I hope you've enjoyed my inspirational posts. I've loved working with the team and all the gorgeous kits. They've really grown and I wish them all the success with their future ventures.

Jar Gift Bag

Nothing says fall like canning!  All of that homemade deliciousness :)  This half pint jar gift bag is perfect for giving jars of jelly.  It is from SVG Attic'Neighbor Gift Set.  The papers I created it out of are from Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1937 collection.
Here is a closeup of the topper and the tag.  I chose to close the topper with button brads.
For the tag, I used Cranberry Trendy Twine to tie it on and for the bow.  I used a Unity Stamp for the sentiment and colored the tag with red, yellow and light green chalks.  For a final touch I added a button and two homemade enamel dots at the bottom.
I hope you enjoyed this project!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!

There are still a few days left to enter in our Fall contest...entries are accepted until midnight on Saturday, September 27th.  We hope you play along!

P.S.  SVG Attic is having a 50% OFF SALE right now!  I don't know how long it will last, so hurry and get your wishlist items now!

Glowing Wizard Hat- with Melissa

For today's project I used the new Halloween Soiree kit and I am loving the cute hat!  As soon as I Saw the cut outs with the colors peeking through I knew it would make a great luminary!  I also thought it would be fun to make as "wizard" hat rather than a regular witch hat.  :)  So we have moon's stars and a sparkly band.  A little vellum, a tea light and...Voila! It glows! A bunch of them for a table setting might be fun ;)

It's hard to believe that 6 months has flown by so quickly and that my time with the SVG Attic design team is concluding.  I have had a great time and enjoyed watching SVG Attic grow so quickly!  What an awesome team and I will miss working with everyone!  Thank you and I look forward to remaining a SVG Attic fan!!!

When I envisioned my project for today's post I hoped it would turn out alright.  And with the help of SVG Attic and gorgeous paper I am quite happy with the result.
I made a vanity set for my project.

The file I used for the containers is  Kiss the Cook.

And for the tray I used the Mom's English Garden.

I hope you like my project.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a fabulously crafty day! ♥

Sunshine and Blue Skies with Julie

Hello, and happy Tuesday, crafty friends!  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  This is my last post for SVG Attic.  My time, this term, is nearly over. I have LOVED being on this team -- watching the company grow, working with the fantastic designs, and experiencing the friendships have been awesome.  I want to thank the owners, designers, design team leader, and design team.  I've loved every minute.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I am sending you all off with 2 wishes from one of the newest kits in the SVG Attic store.  I made two very similar cards from the JGW Above It All kit. Soooo many cute things in this kit!

I used the hot air balloon from the kit, sized it to fit on the front of a card, and cut it three times.  Then, I scored them and glued them together.  The card will lay flat for mailing.

I used a Joy's Life stamp set for the sentiments, as I thought they were very fitting for the cards, and for the message I wanted to leave with you all today.
My wish for all of you today and everyday -- sunshine and blue skies!

Cascading Fall Card with Beth

Fall is such a gorgeous time of the year!  I didn't used to like that season very much, and looking back, I have no idea why I thought that.  The colors, the cool air, harvest...it all is so wonderful.  When SVG Attic came out with their Harvest Blessing Card Kit, I fell in love with it immediately... especially with this card.  So I dug out my Amber Autumn paper stack from DCWV and got to work :)
I used kraft cardstock for the card base and patterned paper for all of the leaves, acorn and wheat.  I added rhinestones and sequins for a little sparkle.  All of the die cuts were inked with brown chalk ink.
The stamped sentiment is from Unity Stamps.  Then I added some Trendy Twine.
I used some thin foam tape behind some of the die cuts for dimension.  It added just the right height, not too high and not flat on the card.
So now that you have seen my card, I want to show you the rest of the gorgeous fall cards that are in SVG Attic's Harvest Blessing Card Kit.  I know you will love all of them!
If you make any of these cards or any other fall themed project using SVG Attic's files, we would love it if you would enter into our Monthly Contest!

REMINDER!
See THIS post for all the details...the call closes Sept 16th, so don't wait!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hot Air Balloon Box

Hi Shary here and today I'd like to show you a fabulous project that I made from the Above It All kit. I had so much fun making this!

This has got to be one of my favourite all time SVG Attic kits. It looks quite daunting but Jodi has such a great tutorial on her blog with lots of pictures so it's really easy to do.
I've used My Mind's Eye - Lucky in love papers and a few gems.
Now you've only seen a little of the kit I hope you'll go over to the SVG Attic store. There's lots more in the kit to make!

It's Your Day! ~with Melissa

Today we have a fun celebration gift box from the Perfect Picnic kit.  I have to tell you the bottle box is impressive and super easy to assemble!  I chose this fun "bubbly" paper for my celebration box and chose to continue the happy sunny theme.  Over here I am holding on to the last bits of summer as I am not quite ready to see it go...

I hope that you enjoyed today's fun and sunny project, and i hope you are inspired to try something on your own.  This bottle from Perfect Picnic really is easy and fun to make and makes such a terrific gift box!
Happy Crafting! ~Melissa

Aviator Goggles and Plane with Beth

Hello all!  Have you seen the awesome aviator sets that SVG Attic has come out with?  If not, you really need to check them out especially if you have boys or any guys in your lives who like airplanes :)  I made the aviator goggles and the slice airplane from the Ready For Takeoff kit at the request of my two older boys.
Here is a closeup of the plane.  It is actually part of the mobile, I just cut off the loops at the top that allow it to hang.  It is actually very sturdy for my kids to play with and the propeller even turns :)
Here are the goggles all by themself.  I attached a sentiment tag using Trendy Twine and the stamp is from Unity Stamps.  I thought the saying really encompassed the fun my boys have with these!
This is a closeup of the details that are on the side of the goggles...awesome, right?!?
I had sized these goggles with my 4 year old in mind.  Then my 7 year old wanted to use them and they didn't fit around his head.  So I hand cut a piece of cardstock the same width as the existing straps and punched holes in it for an extender.
It worked perfectly!  Now my 7 year old wears these almost every day for fun :)

If you are new to SVG Attic, here are a list of places you will want to check out!

Don't forget about our monthly FALL contest!
We also have a Design Team Call going on right now!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

An Apple (Box) for the Teacher -- with Julie

I recently threw a party for one of my staff.  She is cutting way back on her hours with me, and starting a full-time teaching job.  I made her a few things to show her how much we all cared about her.  One of the gifts was this Apple Box from SVG Attic.

I used the optional cupcake cutout in the bottom and the cupcake fit in perfectly.  It didn't last long, though!
This Apple Box is part of the SDS Gearing Up 4 School kit.
I put a tag on top, and wrote a sweet message on it, telling her the things I was thankful for in the 8 years we've worked together.
I've got one last view to share with you of my apple box.

She plans to keep the box on her desk, filled with her favorite candy. I like that idea!
