Halloween Pumpkin with Beth

Hello all, this is Beth from Beth's Beauties!  Halloween will be here tomorrow!  Are you all done decorating your pumpkins?  If not, I have the perfect solution for you...put vinyl on them!
I used SVG Attic's Raven Quest set.  I used white and black Oracal 651 vinyl (outdoor vinyl with a permanent adhesive) to decorate my pumpkin.  It was so much fun!  I loved being creative in the placement of the swirls.

PLUS... SVG Attic's sister site, SnapDragon Snippets, has a GRAND RE-OPENING!  This is so awesome!  A brand new site, multiple designers and a chance to win a Silhouette Portrait!!
YES---You could win a Silhouette Portrait!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I hope you are having an awesome October with all the weather changes and the beautiful colors all around.

Since I am a Breast Cancer survival I'm always looking for ideas to make paper projects to share my support for my "Warrior Sisters,"especially in October.

I looked at the Bewitched Boutique SVG Kit and I though of my BC Awareness stamp by Unity Stamps "Kick Cancer's Butt." I had some left over paper from another project and translated my thoughts into creating this kit.

As you can see they can be presented as a set, or individually.  The Boot is hollow inside so it can be filled with cookies, candies, or even tea bags,
chocolates, etc.

I added the tag that comes in the SVG kit and attached it to the top of the booth with a clothes pin with a pink flower and a ribbon.

On the card, I added the tag to the top and a BC Awareness ribbon on the tpe/

Here are some close ups:

I used pearls for the buttons.

I added a ribbon with roses and pearls to the boot to make it look more Victorian.

The front of the boot has very thin ribbon because the holes are very small, but they can be enlarged with your crop-a-dial and use wider ribbon.

I also used the witches hat, but converted it to a favor box.  This box can also be hung with a ribbon or twine and placed as a center piece on the table.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what other projects can be created with this SVG kit and think about other occasions you can use it just by changing your paper and embellishments.

Have a wonderful week and see you in November where I will post another idea for your table decorations.

Bucket full of Flowers ~ with Angeline Choo

Hi. It's Angeline here and I've got a bucket full of flowers today!

When I saw the "Autumn Splendor" kit, I immediately had to get it coz I could see this bucket sitting on my table top, making a beautiful decoration piece for my humble abode.

The flowers are easy to make with this kit. Just layers after layers of unending goodness :)

Here's a view from the top to see that you only need a few flowers to fill the whole bucket up!

I've added brads to the center of the flowers and molded each layer up for that extra dimension.
I've also used some metallic paper for the flower bucket for that extra shine :)

For the leaves, I've embossed it with my Big Shot to give some added texture.

This kit would also be perfect to gift someone a bucket full of flowers that would last much longer than real ones :)

Oh and did you know that TODAY, the Sister Site of SVG Attic --  SnapDragon Snippets has a GRAND RE-OPENING?

Go take a visit now and you may very well walk away with a Silhouette Portrait!

Have an awesome week ahead!

SCARECROW AND ACORNS

I created the Scarecrow Card using the Anchors Aweigh Step Card from All at Sea SVG file.  I rezised and layered the corn and the and pumpkin from the Autumn Splendor Gift Bag as well as the scarecrow from the new Fall Ensemble SVG Kit.   The background for the card was created by using a sunrise stencil and adding distress inks.  The pumpkin closes up nicely so the card can go in the envelope provided.

I've been admiring the die cut inlaid cards I've been seeing on different blogs so I created my own using my electronic cutter instead of dies.  I used the Harvest Blessings Card Kit.  From the Autumn Treasures card, from the same kit, I cut out the yellow layer then the sentiment in a green color then inlaid it on the negative cut out.  The leaves are from the same kit and the Four Acorns Card.  I embossed the acorns to give them a more realistic look.

These are just two ideas for using different kits and putting them together so you can make them your own creations.

Halloween Canning Jars ~ with Cyndy G

I can't believe Halloween is just a little more than a week away!  There is still time to get one more Halloween project in.  Today I am sharing the JGW Canning Essentials Kit SDS Spooky Cards and the SDS Skull Medallion.  As soon as I saw the Jars I knew what I wanted to do with them.

Haunted scene of 3d paper Halloween jars

I love the way they turned out!  I shrunk the cards down to make tags out of them.

3d Halloween jar with witches fingers inside

I used the cross bones as my poison symbol on the jars and my favorite touch was adding a red oval to the end of the pickle to make it look like a witch's finger!

My kids loved these jars.  I was informed that they like the big jar best.  When I asked why they said "Because you can eat what's in it."  I should have known that.

I filled the jar with eyeball gum that I found at Michael's.  What a fun project.  I love the versatility these sets have.

What I used to create this project:
JGW Canning Essentials Kit,
SDS Spooky Cards
SDS Skull Medallion.
Simple shapes - Oval
Teresa Collins Haunted Hallows paper
Eyeball gum

Please post pictures on our FB page of the ways you have used this set, I would love to see them!  Until next time.

Do what inspires you,
Cyndy G

Fall Pumpkins ~ with Courtney

It can't be Fall without pumpkins.

I think we all have a weakness for pumpkins.

I love them all.  Any color, any size.

So when SVG Attic came out with the Sam the Scarecrow kit and I spied those pumpkins, I knew I had to make them.

They are so fun and easy to assemble.

The bow on the white pumpkin is also a file in the same kit.

I enjoyed embellishing them very much.  That is always my favorite part of the project.

I hope you love them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a fabulously crafty day ! ♥

Sweet Shop ~ with Angeline Choo

Hello, it's Angeline here to bring you something fun, colorful and SWEET today.

The moment I saw this kit, I was loving the sweet shop A LOT!
What a FUN way to give someone cupcakes (or gifts), don't you think?

I made this cute little sweet shop using the "Sweet Shop Party" kit and used lots of fun bright colors.

There's a cute little window (which I have put some acetate) to even see through your yummy cupcakes!

For the shop's signage, I added some glitter paper along with pearl dots for that extra bling.
The two paper clips that's holding the box together is from Prima.

Oh and did you see the side of the shop?
I even added some random cute balloons peeking through. You can add people, animals, party streamers .. all sorts of stuff!

Have a fun sweet scrappy week ahead!

Introducing Inspiration Team member Carmen Lucero

Hello all!  My name is Carmen Lucero.  I am so honored to have been asked to be a member of the design team for SVG Attic.  I’m looking forward creating and hoping to inspire you to make projects using these awesome collections.  You can find some of my work here:

Visionary Art by Carmen Alicia

My Flickr Photostream

I’ve been married to my best friend, who I met in high school, for 42 years. We are empty nesters and spend lots of time with our Chihuahua who keeps us company.  I have two grown children who are very creative.  My son is a drummer and my daughter is an artist, Yoga teacher and Massage Therapist.

A bit more about myself...

Born and Raised: Born in Mexico where I attended school and was obligated to make a sewing project every year.  I get my creativity from my mom.  She made my sister and I paper dolls and the furniture to go along with them.  Later she became a seamstress and made beautiful wedding dresses, then everything crafty.

Places I've Lived: Mexico, Texas, Alabama, Washington State, Colorado, California, Arizona, New Mexico and now we are back in Texas.  I also spent a month in Bogotá, Colombia when I worked for the US government.  The best experience of my life!

Style:  I don't really have one style, but I've been using SVGs since Sure Cuts Alot made its debut.     I use Make the Cut also along with my Cricut and Cameo to make 3D projects, greeting cards, and vinyl.  I also learned mixed media and oil painting so I try to incorporate everything I've learned in the past five years to my projects.  I love texture!

 First Project - Home Decor

I selected this file to create my first project to share with you.

My favorite season is fall because of all beautiful colors, the great weather, and the longer hours available to play outside.

This Fall Home Decor was created with an older file

Autumn Splendor

I resized the flowers and the Fall rosette banner to fit this 11x14 canvas.  I used mixed media for the background and sprayed the flowers and the leaves with shimmery ink sprays.

In addition, when I saw the Aged To Perfection Svg File, I knew I had to make it. It's not a Fall project, but you can change it around to fit the season or occasion.

Last summer, I went to visit my daughter in California and she took me to a small town called, Murphy.  It's a quaint little town with lots of wine tasting rooms.  We had so much fun!

I created a mixed media page using Faber-Castell gelatos, molding paste, stencils, and lots of texture.  I used a couple of Unity Stamps Company stamps and matted the picture on cork paper.

I hope I have inspired you to try your own hand at making a project with these collections and please post your creations on our Facebook pages.

Get crafty, my friends!

Introducing I-Team Member Cyndy Gustashaw

Hello everyone!  My name is Cyndy Gustashaw.  I am new to the SVG Attic I-team.  I hope I am able to inspire you with my personal touches using SVG Attic files and hope you will enjoy using them as much as I do.  My personal blog is Cyndy G - Time Made For Me please stop by sometime!

Cyndy G

I have been married to my husband for ten years this May!  He is a wonderful man who puts up with my crafts/hobbies and even encourages them.  He hopes that I can find a way to make BIG money so he can retire, lol.  Together we have three beautiful children, in addition to my two girls, that makes five children.  My father-in-law lives with us and my Mom retired when we had our second child and left her home in Southern California to move to North Carolina to be a full-time Grandmother and nanny.  I'm so glad she did, the kids adore her.

Here is a little bit more about myself...
I was born in Virginia and raised in Southern California (I still refer to it as home).  I moved to North Carolina when I was twenty and have lived here ever since (longer than I care to admit).
I love photography and scrapbooking which evolved into paper crafting.  I started scrapbooking about 15 years ago, just as it was becoming the "new" thing to do.  My mom and sister introduced me to it when I had traveled home for my sister's graduation and wedding.  I like simple clean lines, less is more for me.
I have lots of favorite projects.  I put a little piece of me in everything I create so it is all special.  For my introduction I have chosen the Pumpkin Stacker.  I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and for once I knew exactly what paper I was going to use!
3d paper pumpkin countdown to Halloween

I used Graphic 45, An Eerie Tale for this project.

I absolutely love this paper stack!

I reduced the size of this project to 75%.  It is still a sizable project the pumpkin stands almost 7" tall and the base is just over 6".  I almost always shrink my projects.  At first it was to conserve paper but everyone in my family loved the smaller sizes so now it is a preference.

I love the cute little stem.  My daughter even commented on how real it looks.  Thank you for visiting my blog post today, I look forward to sharing with you and would love for you to share your projects with us!

The set I used on this project is:

Do what inspires you!

Introducing Inspiration Team Member ~ Courtney Lega

Howdy from Texas !

HI ~ I'm Courtney and I am a member of SVG Attic's I-team.

I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.

I was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina.  Moved to Texas at the age of 2.

I come from a loving and devoted family of 5. Mother and Daddy, my two sisters and me.  Our mainly girls only family expanded with a bunch of boys.  I've been married for 26 years, to my very own prince charming, and we have a darling little boy, Jack, 11 years old.

I have crafted for as long as I can remember.  I scrapbook, and love to make cards.  My passion of late, is making 3D paper crafts.  So imagine my excitement when I applied and got on the SVG ATTIC I-team.  A dream come true.

My crafting style is whimsical and bright.  I like things clean and crisp and I always lean towards papers that are primary.

One of my favorite SVG ATTIC projects is:

The files I used for this project are:

Perfect Picnic

Aged to Perfection
