Leprechaun Hat using St. Patricks Day "Go Green" Set

Hello everybody and happy Monday!! Nicole here, hoping you had a great weekend and that your Monday is off to a good start:-) I wanted to share with you a shaped card I made using the Leprechaun Hat from the "Go Green" svg set. I created a shadow using SCAL 3 and welded 2 of the shadows together to create the base of the card. I cut out 2 hats, one in black for the outside of the card and the other in a light green for the inside of the card. I did a little embossing with my cuttlebug, a little doodling with my white gel pen and used some green liquid pearls to jazz up the card. The sentiment is hand written by moi. I hope this inspires your creativity for St. Patrick's Day. I love this match box, perfect for this Tooth Fairy Box project. I used paper from my stash along with a new, never seen before A Jillian Vance Design stamp set: Tooth Fairy, it will be released next week on the A Jillian Vance Design Blog.
This box goes together so nice!! It can be used for anything like for the Tooth Fairy or a gift of jewelry with a little bit of tissue paper tucked in. There are just so many possibilities and the color combinations are limitless!

This Princess mobile was cut using SCAL 3 along with my Silhouette Cameo, and the SVG set I used is from SVG ATTIC and the set is called BABY GIRL, it's a set that's perfect for baby showers it has tons of stuff! DT Tuesday with Tee - Give a Hoot

I am so excited to show you the cake I made using one of the owls from Give a Hoot svg collection.

Cutting fondant with a cutter can be tricky - I have learned the best way to get a clean cut is to first roll out your fondant at about 1/8" then pop it in the freezer for about 5 minutes. Cut your imagine then pop it back in the freezer for another 5 minutes. This will make it easier for you to transfer without your object stretching.

For this party I also make 100 cupcake boxes and a smash cake. You can find more pictures on my blog

Treat box and gift card holder

Happy Friday everyone, Nicole here and today is my day to post a project for SVG Attic!!

My project for today is a cute box and gift card holder. I made this for a family friend who is celebrating her 14th birthday on Saturday and has invited all 3 of my daughters to her party. This particular 14 year old has a sweet tooth so we will be filling the box with some sugary treat along with a gift card to one of her favorite stores:-)

I used the puffy boxes svg collection to make the box. I wanted it to resemble a cupcake so I cut it out twice in two different papers. I trimmed the blue polka dotted paper so that it looked like a cupcake wrapper. I then glued the pink box inside of the polka dotted "wrapper". Using the same bright colors I made the gift card holder using the be mine set. This gift card holder is so quick and easy to make - I know I will be using it a lot because we do a lot of gift cards for presents. But, don't let this set fool you, even though it appears to be a Valentine/love related set, it could be used for so many different occasions. Included in this set is a 3d rose!! We all know that 3d paper flowers are all the rage right now. I am currently working on putting some together. There is a great tutorial for putting these flowers together on youtube.

Good morning! It's SANDRA here and today is my day to post on the SVG Attic Blog and I made a 2 page layout featuring one of my favorite sets which is Erin's Scalloped Trims, I guess I love this set so much because it's a great alternative to border punches plus it's a major space saver LOL! These pictures were taken at the San Diego Zoo and I used a few cuts from my Paisley, Tags, Bags Boxes & More, and Life's A Party Cricut cartridges to create these layouts, I also added some bling on top of the borders from SVG Attic.

Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays to craft. I love pink, red and animal prints and what better excuse than to make up valentine cards for my family. This project is made using Valentine Elements kit, stamps from my stash, some pearls and of course some stickles. I also just had to make some roses using the Be Mine kit because I am obsessed with these flowers.

Valentine's Elements Wreath

Hey Y'all!

It's Carley here and today I am going to show you a fabulous project I made for my son's preschool for their Valentine's Day party! I used the super cute new set called Valentine Elements shown here:

Isn't that just so cute? Well I am in love with lady bugs so of course I chose the love bug to put in the center of my wreath. Here is the finished product and then I will tell you the tools you will need and how you can make this super easy wreath!

So I started with a Styrofoam wreath and cute hot pink tissue paper in 5x7 rectangles. I punched holes in the wreath close together but it is up to you on this as to how full you want the wreath. I filled the holes with hot glue and then put the tissue paper in the holes with the end of a paintbrush. Ta Da that is it! I then used my cameo to cut out the love bug svg and assembled it and modge podged it to make it more sturdy. I attached it to the middle and tied pink tulle to the top for the bow! I thought it turned out so super cute and seriously it was so easy.

I think it would be super cute for a girls' room but you know I am lacking in that area so I stick to Valentine's Day :) I hope you enjoy my wreath and go buy the Valentine's Elements file right now here! I hope you have a fabulous Friday!

Hi everyone it's Sandra here and I want to share with you these adorable diaper shaped baby shower party favors I made for my upcoming baby shower. To make these diapers I used some cute paper from Hobby Lobby with satin ribbon and stamped the Thank You sentiment on every diaper. I plan on stuffing these diapers with tulle filled with candy for all of my shower guests. I used my Cricut Expression along with SCAL 2 using SVG Attic's "BABY GIRL SET", this set has everything you need to have a baby shower be sure to check it out HERE!

Easter Collection Preview

So I thought I would preview a new set that I will be releasing for SVG Attic in the near future and preview my stamp line available at ShabbyChicStampCo.com right now!

I used the Bunny Love stamp set, the matchbox file from the Be Mine SVG Collection and the bunnies are from a new collection releasing in a couple weeks, it has a TON of goodies in it for you! . I also used paper from Marcella K~Monkey Around (Must have been one of the very first paper pads I EVER purchased!), and twine is from The Twinery! I just love Easter!

Here is the project. It was very simple and quick!

Isn't it cute! You can use whatever colors you choose. Those adorable bunny marshmallow treats come in every color under the sun! I made this specifically for a boy and I think it came out great! The box is pre-scored and very easy to assemble, the hardest part is choosing the paper!

See that cute sentiment! I used the Bunny Love Stamp 'Ems created by SVG Attic for Shabby Chic Stamp Co. They are free downloadable SVG files for you to cut out with your electronic cutter and compatible software (SCAL or MTC) that match the shape of your stamps perfectly!

Heart Basket and Penguin Valentine Card

Happy Friday everyone!! This is Nicole posting for my first time here at SVG Attic. I am so excited to be a part of the SVG Attic design team and after working with Jessica's files I am even more excited. I was sooo happy when I saw the 3d Valentine boxes in the Heart Shaped Box set. I decided to work with this set give the woven basket a try. I love the mix of brown (which resembles chocolate:-) with red. I also made the penguin card using the My Valentine set. I referred to the pdf files for both of these projects that come with the file set when you purchase them. Let me say that both of these projects went together quickly!! I highly recommend using a wet glue with a bit of "forgiveness" when putting the basket together that way it gives you time to shape it as you are glueing it.

I really want to point the pdf files out to those of you who may be new to using svg files. I know a lot of us have gotten Silhouette Cameos over the last few months and it may be your first time playing with svg files. I work with SCAL 3 (sure cuts a lot). The SVG Attic files come with a pdf file that give you help in putting together your projects. I love the way Jessica makes her files easy to size.

With the new year here, we want to celebrate it right. We are looking for fresh faces that are passionate and enthusiastic when it comes to paper crafting! We will be choosing 4 new designers and 12 guest designers.

SVG Attic wants YOU to apply to be a member of our wonderful design team. We release new SVG collections on a weekly basis so there will always be something new and fun to work with as a member of our team. We are looking for designers who are passionate about paper crafting that would love to showcase our beautiful files and your wonderful talent.

Details:

• Commitment to a six month term ending July 2012 with a minimum of (2) blog posts per month, posted on both the SVG Attic Blog and their personal blog. More personal blog posts are GREAT!

• Use SVG Attic files.

• Persistence to your personal blogs which means keeping them fresh and mentioning/linking SVG Attic collections (we will promote you personally as well which is a win-win for everyone). Keeping them fresh and new is important.

• Involvement with social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Facebook at minimum is required.

• Participation on message boards including the new SVG Attic Forum.

• Provide video tutorials…..and step-by-step projects featuring SVG Attic products.

Eek A Day Late!

Hey everyone! I'm a day late in posting my project for SVG Attic :( I had every intentions on getting something posted yesterday but I wound up with a killer headache for most of the day and tried sleeping it off! But even tho I'm a day late I still wanted to share this cute svg set, Thankful Friends by SVG Attic! Isn't this little scarecrow girl the cutest!! This set has 9 adorable characters! If you haven't visited the store your in for a treat! Jessica's svg file's are AMAZING! So what you waiting for head over there NOW hee hee!!

I also wanted to play along with Peachy Keen's challenge #62. It's to create a card or layout using this sketch...

I used my Imagine and the Imagine cartridge, Enjoy The Seasons for the paper. For her face, I used Peachy Keen's #450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment. The sentiment is from My Creative Time set, Mixed Holiday Sentiments and I stamped it on My Creative Time's stitched oval die. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and then added some twine. Here's another picture from the side...

SVG Attic Design Team Project

Happy Wednesday!

Don't you just love fall? Cooler days and nights, the leaves on the trees change colors, harvest, and my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving!

I thought it would be fun to create a home decor item that would help welcome fall.

I used the SVG Attic set called, Fall Leaves SVG Collection,

to create my door rosette.

The papers I used are from Cosmo Cricket and Doodlebug Designs.

Want to know how I made it? I will have a video tutorial up on Saturday showing all the steps. For right now, here are the sizes, just in case you feel like making one too! :)

Large scallop circle: 9 1/2" Dia

Rosette: 8" Dia

Inter scallop: 6"

Fall cut out: 4.4531 x 3.9375

Leaves were cut at 2 1/2", 2" and 1 1/2"

Here is a tutorial showing how to make a rosette, just in-case you don't know how to make one. Like I said, I am working on a video tutorial, it will be posted here on the blog on Saturday!

Now on to my project!

It took me a long time to decide on what I wanted to create. I actually just decided on Wednesday and got to work. I finally finished the project Thursday afternoon when I got my "The Uglies" face stamps in the mail from PKS. They are so stinkin cute!

In our home, we have family game night every week. We have at least 40 board games. Lately, my boys have been begging me to buy another game but our closet is too full and I have no more room. (If I bought another one, it would invade my craft space. Thats a big NO NO!) I chose to create a family Halloween themed board game fun for everyone. My inspiration.... King Candy from Candyland! :)

That ghost is sooo cute, I just love those Monster Mash faces!

They are so much cuter with faces!

See that candy corn space on the board? Well, in the rules, if you land on it you get to jump three spaces because you are on a sugar high!

I used the Tent Cards SVG set and

it was soooo easy to make this style.

I used EAD Designs Stickerz for all the images.

I won these Stickerz in the customer showcase

for August and they are FANTASTIC!

They worked out great with my

tent card! It really looks

like a witch's shop! ;)

Here is my inspiration! I found this through Pinterest!

And here is my project!

I used the Fall Leaves SVG Collection and some dead branches from a tree. I used Thermoweb's Zot's to hold the twine in place. I used the Tangerine Twine from The Twinery and the Chocolate Mousse twine from Trendy Twine! The branches from the inspiration photo are what inspried me. It really brings nature into your home and looks beautiful! My son Tyler even asked if we could keep the branches and create different "ornaments" for them with each season/holiday! Very surprised a 10 year old boy would even notice them!

So now onto my hop project!

I absolutely LOVE fall. I really don't get Fall where I live, but I like the few weeks of cool weather before the rainy season is here. The leaves only change from green to brown so I dont get to experience the vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds! I need to convince hubby to find a job on the East Coast or Northwest!

My most favorite thing about fall is taking my children to the pumpkin patch I went to when I grew up! We go to Bate's Nut Farm and spend an entire day with hayrides, corn mazes, face painting, rock climbling, bouncy houses, pony rides, petting zoos, and pumpkin picking! I have to say that this last year was my most favorite. We had four generations with us and it was a blast! One of the things I love to eat and wait for the entire year is a caramel or candied apple. I just love them and to me, that is Fall in my tummy!

So here are the caramel and candy apples I made.

I used the Puffy Boxes SVG Collection and the Blood Border to create these Caramel and Candy apple gift boxes. I used twigs from a tree that a small tornado dug up from a friends horse ranch.

I used the DCWV's The Homemade Christmas Stack for all the apples! I just LOVE this stack and hope I can find it over the Christmas season again!

I used Co'ordinations Color Core Cardstock for the Caramel and Candy atop the apples. For the Caramel I used Chocolate Mousse and for the Candy I used Redbud.

I hot glued the twigs ontop onf the closure of the box and tied a simple satin and grossgrain ribbon aroudn the base of the twig for a simple embellishment.

I just loved how they turned out and I had actually asked my friend Tonya if she knew what they were and she did. I knew what they were, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one! ;)

Puppy Party Invitations

Sorry for the lack of posting! I have been going going going non stop lately, but it's my Design Team Friday with SVG Attic today so I thought I would share these adorable invitations I made with you!!

It's a little early to be showing these, since I haven't even handed them out yet, but they turned out soooo cute! My son is turning 5 this week, and at his request we are throwing him a Puppy Party. This is quite a popular theme for boy parties right now (meaning already been done by tons of people), but once he heard the idea there was no talking him out of it lol!

Aren't they cute?!!! They are little dog bowls with puppy chow in them!

Plus I added the dog bone tag out of mirror paper!

I used the Jacks Tracks svg set for these.

If you want the measurements I used let me know!

I can't wait to share all the other cute things

I have made for this Puppy Party!!

It's not for another week though, so you'll have to wait! Lol!

My First SVG Attic Design Team Post!!!

Hey!! I'm excited!! This is my very first project I'm getting to share with you using SVG Attic's awesome cut files!! Don't you just LOVE this pumpkin! I made it using the Fall Celebration Kit and the adorable crow is from the Pumpkin Patch Collection. I love making 3D items and this pumpkin was super simple! I cut extra leaves and I also made a stem using a paper sack and some twine. I added some golden glimmer mist but that's not showing up in my photo. For the crow, I used my jelly roll pen and added faux stitches. I also popped his wing up using Helmar ZapDots. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry for my glue (to attach the extra leaves) The twig vine thingy (not sure exactly what you call that!) I've had and I thought it looked pretty cool. Kinda like the pumpkin is still in the pumpkin patch hee hee!! If you look to the right there is a blinky for a upcoming blog hop! It's going to be spooktacular hop that you don't want to miss! Jessica has released some really awesome svg files so don't forget to head over and do some browsing and pick up her latest files!! I hope you have enjoyed my first project it was sure enough fun making it! Thanks for looking!!

Happy Pumpkin Day Card

Just wanted to share with you this adorable Card I made using some SVG ATTIC Files.

I used Tent Card & Pumpkin Patch SVG Sets to make this adorable card, which surprisingly isn't a Tent card at all. I manuiplated the file to create just a fun FLAT card. No Pop dots anywhere on this card.

Bat Wings, Toad Lips and Eyes of Newt

Hello everyone. I decided to do a design team project today. I really enjoyed doing this project and think you will have fun if you decide to make some for yourself!

I created witches wands. I used a 1/4 inch dowell and cut it into three 12" pieces. I took the Rosette and Spider Web Rosette from the banner in the Happy Haunt Party Kit. I used DCWV midnight spell paper stack and used Celebrate It ribbon to wrap the dowels, then twine from, The Twinery to wrap over the dowells.

I added some eye catching goodness to the tops of the wands using some orange ball trim, orange tulle, two buttons and a googly eye from the Bo Bunny Boo Button collection. I then dangled a felt bat from Halloween Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique. I inked all edges using my black colorbox ink. I added the spider from the Happy Haunt collection to the center of one of the webs.

This spider web rosette is reversible and looks great either way you decide to fold it.

Sneak Peek! MAJOR Cuteness ALERT!

Hi everyone! Today I decided I wanted to feature TWO new sets being released this week. Do you remember this owl card I made for my friend's birthday?

This was a sneak peek of one of our newest sets being released very soon. It is a tent card. Think of it as an easel card and step card in one! They feature shaped windows with an insert underlay. There are many different styles and sizes in this collection. They will also come with matching envelopes! Be on the lookout at SVGAttic.com!

The next set will be featured tomorrow, Thursday. It will be available in the store at 40% off for the first four days!

This set features many different pumpkins in all shapes and sizes.

I am featuring the "Pumpkin Pile" file here and it has seven different layers to it! Forgive the photography, I was trying to get a really good angle to show the depth of the die cut.

As you can see, this set will also be featuring country crows.

I have two different crows in this set.

I used Market Street Stamps for two faces and the sentiment all from the Autumn Greetings stamp set, I also used Peachy Keen Stamps #PK-692, Monster Face, for the face of the pumpkin on the left, I used my Gelly Roll pen for faux stitching, some Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine and a few buttons.

SVG Attic DT Project

Hey everyone, I am not usually submitting projects but I am so in love with this new set that will be coming out next week. It is going to be called the Fall Harvest Favor Boxes SVG Kit . It includes a few really cute boxes and little favors boxes to go with!

My project is the Apple Wagon. WARNING: Tons of photos beyond this point!

Here is the Apple Wagon with the Apple favors. I used two collections here. The Apple Wagon and Apples are from the Fall Harvest Boxes SVG Kit that has not been released yet and the Apple tag is from the Back To School SVG Collection. I did not resize the apple. I used Trndy Twine's red twine, which I believe is called Peppermint Stick, to attach the tag to the wagon.
