Travel Time ~ with Cyndy G.

Hello, happy Friday!  Here in the South we are starting to see spring in full bloom and everything looks beautiful!  We have had a few cold days but we know the warm weather is right around the corner and you can see it everywhere you look.

All this warm weather gets me thinking about taking a vacation!  One of our favorite places to visit is Charleston, SC.  It has beautiful Southern Charm.  So this brings me to today's project.  I decided to make the round travel case from JGW Fashionably French.  This is a favorite of mine.

I used Authentique Classique Beauty and it is beautiful!

One of the things that makes this a favorite of mine is all the little detail.  The brads or eyelets around the edge of the lid, down to the little "feet" on the case.  It also a nice size so you can use it as a gift box and it's not too hard to put together.  It has straight edges.  This gives you more guidance than a circle (I think).  If you haven't tried this one, you should I think you will like it as much as I do.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Thank you for stopping by.

Do what inspires you,
Cyndy G.

  3. Your round travel case shows off its sweet Southern Charm beautifully with the papers you chose... I love how you have it open showing off the gorgeous backgnd paper. It would look great with a larger or 2 smaller low growing plants inside with the bottom of the planters covered with the crinkled paper strips we add to gift bags. You could use a pale yellow like the inside color, jazz it up with the bright yellow or allow the background to shine using one of the darker colors. No matter how you use it, as a gift box, holding plants for spring or any other way, it's beautiful & calls out for warm weather! 😉
