Bon Voyage with Lisa

Hi and welcome, everyone! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing this 3D Suitcase and Bon Voyage Card from the JGW Paris Voyage Kit

My niece called last night to tell me she wants to go on a cruise for her birthday. So I decided this would be a perfect gift for her filled with some cash to help her on her way. I have to say that I love the 3D suitcase to no end. The paper is by Carta Bella - Ahoy There.

I plan on using this for her birthday card.

The suitcase is actually a gift card holder!

It reminds me of a vintage suitcase with stickers all over it!

You can find all the details on my blog.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Sunflower Box with Tracy

When you think of summer, what do you think of?

Do you think of warm days, the sun shinning and a garden full of beautiful, hardy flowers?
I do!

Tracy, with the Idea closet and after all the rain (and mud) we have had lately, I am ready for some beautiful sun!

SVG Attic has a new kit that is perfect for all of you sun loving people, waiting for summer.

JGW Sunflower Sunshine

JGW Sunflower Sunshine is the most recent set that was just added to the store.
This collection features beautiful sunflowers on cards, boxes and even a little stand.

For my project today, I choose to create the Hex Sunflower Box.

This is such a beautiful box with so many details, but it is easy to do as well.
The box measures almost 6" across and 2" tall, just the right size for gift giving; or use it to hold a special keepsake or two. The possibilities are endless, but you will never get tired of looking at it.

The flower looks complicated but if you follow Jody's instructions here, it actually goes together easily.

Grab some of your favorite paper (I used We R Memory Keepers) and create your own Sunflower Hex box. You will love yours as much as I love mine...Promise!

May Day Baskets with Beth

Hello all!  Beth from Beth's Beauties with you today and I am sharing the May Day baskets I created for my boys.
These baskets were a great use of seasonal files that had nothing to do with this occasion!  The basket file is from JGW Easter Eggstraordinary and I used the smaller basket in that kit.  I omitted the liner inside the basket so it could hold more candy.  The monogram on the front was created by using the top two layers of the SDS Nested (Layered) Alphabet.  I kept the proportions of the letters and made the shadow layer 1" tall and that was the perfect size for the front of the basket.
The final addition was a tag from JGW Made of Snow (Smooth Sledding tag) which I resized to 2.3" wide.  I cut everything using DCWV's Marquee stack.  A double bow of In The Navy Trendy Twine attached the tag to the basket.
There is one more week until May Day.  What will you create?

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Surprising Spring Card ~ with Cyndy G.

Hello today I'm on the SVG Attic blog.  I've got a wonderful card to share with you from JGW Poinsettia Passion.  It is the Poinsettia Doilly Frame Card and no I'm not starting my Christmas cards yet, even though I think I would have to in order for me to have enough time to actually get them done :)

I've turned it into a pretty spring card by using bright colors.

Spring card

I used Graphic 45 - Parisian Cafe and Totally White Trendy Bakers Twine from

Spring card

This is one of my favorite cards and I love how it turned out with these bright colors.

Hello all. I-team member Sonja from Sugar Bean Cards here with my latest project! Next week is Secretaries Day. I always try to do a little card or something for the secretaries at my children's schools.

I grabbed the JGW Campus Capers file to get started. Each child has two secretaries at their school.
For my daughter's school, the office is decorated with owls. I grabbed this SnapDragon file from Silhouette's Design Store.
Even though each card is from the same stack, each one has it's own differences!

Materials Used:
DCWV 'Indigo Kraft & Rose Gold' stack
SVG Attic JGW Campus Capers
JGW Campus Capers
SnapDragon Snippet 'Owl Trio' card (Silhouette Design Store)

Easter Bunny shaker card with Angeline

Happy Easter!
Angeline here bringing you a special project for today.
Today is a good day to celebrate the Lord, so why not let's shake off all the stress and relax by making something fun.

I made a shaker card using the JGW Bunny Race kit.

SVG Attic: Easter Bunny shaker card with Angeline #svgattic #scrappyscrappy #jgwbunnyrace #easter #card #cardmaking #papercraft #shakercard #nuvojeweldrop #glitter

You can turn this file into a shaker treat card -- where there is a perforated part to the back to get out all the candy from his tummy. (hehe). But I made it into a shaker card instead and filled his tummy with pretty sequin flowers.

I also added some glitter and Nuvo jewel drops to add to the bling, and psstttt... even gave him some eyelashes! (haha)

Repurposing Easter Files with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a few ideas on how to use those Easter files throughout the Summer. Using Easter Elements and JGW Happy Easter (carrot) I created three simple cards that would be ideal for someone who loves to garden.

So using the carrot from the JGW Happy Easter - Upright Bunny Box I created this fun carrot themed card. The sentiment reads I CARROT believe I forgot, perfect for belated birthdays.

Using the tulip from the Easter Elements, I cut Canson XL Watercolor paper and inked with Distress Inks adding a sentiment that can be used for several occasions.

Using the Peeps Bunny from the Easter Elements it's easy to create various bunny themed cards, the sentiment reads, There's no bunny like you. There are also several "peep" sentiments that can be used throughout the year, too.

You can find all the details on my blog, The Relativity of Paper.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Happy Easter Eggs Card with Beth

Hello everyone!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The Easter countdown is on!  I needed to make one more card and I decided on the Happy Easter Eggs card from the new JGW Bunny Race set.
The patterned papers I used were from DCWV's Celebration stack and the eggs were cut from DCWV's Brights Border Stack.  The bow was made out of Blue Berry Trendy Twine.
I made this card for a niece and nephew and thought they would have fun with moving the Easter eggs!  They are attached with brads and I didn't add any other adhesive behind them, so they move freely.  The front panel is popped up with foam tape for extra dimension.
Here is a look at the whole JGW Bunny Race set!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Bunny Gift Card Holder

Hello all! I-Team Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine here to share today. Since we are celebrating Easter in a few days I thought I would create the bunny gift card holder from the JGW Easter Eggstraordinary Collection

I curled the whiskers a bit. I think I love it!

I used Trendy Twine colors Strawberry Cupcake and Chocolate Cupcake for the tail, scarf, and ear.

And there's a sneak at the inside with the gift card.  I did ink the edges and added a bit of color for the cheeks. I hope you enjoyed.
Make sure you come back soon. I have LOTS to show you this month!!!

Easter Chick ~ with Cyndy G.

Happy Friday - thank you for stopping by.  Today I am sharing with you a darling little chick box.  He is so cute and pretty easy to put together.  He can be found in the SDS Hop To It kit.  I also made some carrot boxes from JGW 3D Button Jointed Bunny.

Isn't this chick just the cutest!  There are slits in the front of the box that you can thread your ribbon through, it is very handy.  However, if you don't to add a ribbon - it comes with an option without the slit.  The box is a nice size.  You could fit several small pieces of candy in it.

The carrot boxes are super easy and you could make a lot of these in a small amount of time.  You can fit two boxes on one sheet of paper or shrink them down to fit more.
I used some Doodlebug Design paper I had in my stash.

Thank you for stopping by.

Creativity Box

I have had this stack of Tim Holtz things stored under my desk since January. I knew the general idea of what I wanted to do, but then again I didn't know what I was going to do with it. When I finally took the time to read each inscription on these little medal plates, I knew for sure what I needed to do with it!

I have a lot of little things in a basket that I use occasionally for crafting. So to bring a bit more organization as well as elegance to storing the little things, I decided to make a storage box using SVG Attic's 'Cookie's for Santa' file to make this project.

I had to modify the file slightly to achieve what I wanted.

Original file:

For the lid of the box, I wanted the top to be a solid surface. So I simply right clicked on the top of the lid, selected 'release compound', and discarded the items from the file I didn't want to use.

Modified file:

Once modified and cut out, I was able to put each piece together.
But once I added all of the Tim Holtz bling, wow!
The gold glitter paper I used from Cut Card Stock was the icing on the cake.
The gold paired well with the elegance and old fashioned paper
I chose this file because I liked that I can take the inside compartments out one at a time for when I am using that element.
The finished results came out well.

Easter Lily Bouquet Box Card with Beth

Happy Monday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  With Easter being less than two weeks away, I decided to make the Easter lily bouquet box card from SVG Attic's JGW Flower Boxcard Bouquets set
To see all the the pieces for this card on your cutting mat may seem a bit intimidating at first, but Jodi has a wonderful tutorial HERE that walks you through it step by step.  The end result is SO worth it!!  Check out that beautiful bouquet of lilies!
And a close up of them...  Two of the layers have clear acetate behind them for added support for the flowers.  I used Glue Dots stitched glue squares to stick the flowers to the acetate.
The label on the front adds so much!  I used DCWV's Meet Me In Paris stack for all of the patterned papers.  The embellishments are Nuvo Crystal Drops in gloss white and gloss bubblegum blush as well as Totally Chocolate and Chocolate Cupcake Trendy Twines.  I also added a thin strip of gold washi tape at the bottom of the box to bring out the gold foiling on the patterned paper.  The best part is that the card fold flat for easy giving and storing!
Additional adhesives I used on this project are Scotch Tacky glue, Scotch foam tape, and Glue Dots craft dots.  For more details, stop by my blog!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
