Deco Nativity Scene Block

Hello all. I-team member Sonja here with my take on the newest Nativity Ball set!

I didn't have any extra ornaments lying around, however I did have an extra 8 x 8 glass deco block.

First I sprayed the block with a window frost spray to give it more of a soft glow.

Next I cut out each element that I wanted on my block in vinyl, weeded the pieces, and applied them to the block.

I decided to add some blue LED lights instead of white ones to help set the scene!

The pictures really don't do this justice. The soft glow of the blue lights in a dark room, perfect ambiance!

Materials Used:
Deco Block (most craft stores have them)
Glass frosting spray
SVG Attic JGW Nativity Balls
JGW Nativity Balls
Blue LED lights (10 count, probably would have looked better with 20!)

Wonderful Winter with Lisa

Hi and welcome, everyone!
Lisa from The Relativity of Paper
sharing a Winter project featuring the Round Traveling Case, from JGW Fashionably French Collection, and elements from the JGW Winter Wonderland Wreath.

My inspiration for this project is pulled from my Mom's Christmas Tree. We use lots of blues and silver on a white tree, and it honestly feels like Winter. I will be creating a display for her coffee table using these pieces, ornaments, snowflakes, and fairy lights for her Christmas Party.

The sentiment is from the JGW Winter Wonderland, and I used Marvy Snow Marker to add texture and dimension.

The skates are amazing and remind me of the movie Ice Castles. Do you remember that movie? I'm aging myself with this.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Last Minute Thanksgiving Favor Box

Today is Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.
That means one more day to make a fun, quick, easy and practical Thanksgiving project!

Tracy here from the Idea Closet. I am just wondering,
what type of dinner you have on this holiday? Fancy and formal with the best china or in front of the football game with paper plates and lots of cheering?

However you are celebrating, how about including a little favor box?

I created these little favor boxes using the December Count Down Sack file from the

JGW Christmas on the Docket

Jodi has provided the instructions here.
The little bags go together very quickly and are the perfect size.

I printed the names of each of my guests on the computer and then added them to the front with foam pop dots.  Now I can use them as a place setting as well.

Fun and Practical!

Each sack is filled with some Andes Mints and a little note of why I am grateful for them.
They are tied up with a bit of string to finish each bag.

Today, while the pie's are baking and the turkey is thawing, grab some scrap paper (it doesn't take much, most of what I used was leftovers from another project) and make some favors for you dinner guests.

And no matter how you celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

P.S.  We have a wondeful Pre-Black Friday SALE going on in the SVG Attic store.  Head on over there to get those sets that are on your wishlist at a great price!

Thanksgiving Note Cards

Hello, and Happy week of Thanksgiving.  Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine here. I made these 2 cards to thank my Hostess on Thanksgiving.  I wanted to add more but the flourish design is so pretty I didn't want to take away from it.  Both are from SDS Pilgrims Prayer.

Thank you for stopping by! Hope you have a very blessed Thanksgiving!

Countdown to Christmas Treat Bags with Beth

Hello crafty friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I created a 12 days of Christmas countdown for my boys.
I used the JGW Christmas on the Docket set from SVG Attic.  I simply enlarged the white circle and number cuts to go on the base instead of the flap.
The patterned paper that I used is from DCWV's Christmas Plaid stack.  The Christmas brads I used are from Oriental Trading.
Here are closeups of the three different designs of treat bags within the set.

I know my boys will love seeing what treats each bag holds!

Here is a look at the JGW Christmas on the Docket set.

Holiday Treat Boxes ~ with Cyndy G.

Wow, I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week.  I hope everyone is ready.  Today I am going to share some very cute little treat boxes from PSD Christmas Character Boxes.  These are so easy to put together that you could let your children make these for their classmates.

That is what I plan to do.

Let your kids pick some cute pattern paper and fill them with some treats.

I just love these little guys.

I think everyone in the class would just love these.  Hope you have a great weekend.

Do what inspires you,
Cyndy G.

Winter Cottage

Hello all I-team Sonja here. Today I bring you the third and final addition to my cottage series!

For the winter cottage, I added snow to the roof and windows. I included the presents and the street lamp that comes with this file, as well as the bows for the windows.

Since it is a winter theme, I had to put a sleigh and a reindeer on the roof!

The reindeer is from SnapDragon Snippets in Silhouettes Design Store. The sleigh is from SVG Attic's Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes file.

The snow on the roof, chimney's, and window icicles are cut from sparkle paper. Usually I would do this in plain white paper and add glitter, but I had some extra white glitter paper around!

The back of the cottage. I wanted to add very subtle color into this, trying to keep away from the traditional red and greens of Christmas.

Left side. The pops of sea green against the gray, silver, and white was the right choice.

Now turn the lights out!

For the street light, I took inspiration from the light that sits in our front yard. I wanted it to light up to make it realistic. It took a little modification, but I got it there in the end!
One of my favorite things about winter is when it is snowing out at night, yet it is so bright and beautiful.
I loved how the silver spots in the paper lit up when photographed, adding an extra touch of sparkle.

The end result on this cottage was by far my most favorite of the three!

That concludes the three part series of my take on the RW English Cottage Kit!

Birthday Celebration with Angeline

Hi.
Angeline here to share with you a card and cake I made using the JGW Take the Cake kit.

SVG Attic: Birthday Celebration with Angeline #svgattic #scrappyscrappy #birthday #papercraft #svg #diecut

Here's the banner card I made, that I layered with a few different papers and also added some balloons from the Sweet Stamp Shop.
I also added some Gold Gliter to give it some extra bling!

And what's a birthday without a cake? :)

SVG Attic: Birthday Celebration with Angeline #svgattic #scrappyscrappy #birthday #papercraft #svg #diecut

I made the birthday cake box (just a single slice) and added some frostings using Prima's snowflake paste. Then before it dried, I stucked the two strawberries I made using the JGW Spring Swag kit and added some glitter confetti.

Magical Memories with Lisa

Hi and welcome, everyone! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a fun way to keep magical memories using the JGW Just Sew Notions Box. We are headed to Disney World in December with our granddaughter, Averly Rose; this is her first trip there. Walking through the Magic Kingdom gates is a thrill for me. I nearly take off in a full sprint to stand smack tap in the middle of Main Street, USA where I can stand in awe of Cinderella's Castle. I can only hope Averly's first time is as magical. Since she is only three, I wanted her to have something to keep special little treasures in and the Notions Box is perfect. I found this box very easy to assemble and as always, binder clips can be your best friend when assembling.

I used Simple Stories Say Cheese Collection.

I have a Disney Font on my computer that I used to cut her name out of red cardstock.

Here you can see the inside has five compartments to hold all of her magical treasures, even her MagicBand fits perfectly. I added a pocket to the inside of the lid to hold postcards, pictures, and other like items. The tags lay in the middle compartment perfectly.

One of my favorite things are the tags I created for each day and the park we will be visiting that day. In the evening she can add all her stuff, and I can jot down a few highlights of the day for her.  My hope is that she will continue to fill this box with memories that we all share at the Happiest Place Ever!

As always, thanks for joining us!
