Spring Shaker Cards

Ahhhh - such a beautiful day here in Denmark today. Spring has arrived and temperatures are rising :-) All I need now is for the wind to settle and for my hubby to break out the hammock so I can go take a nap in the garden ;-)
But first I want to show you three cards I made this week. I wanted to make these cards a bit more interactive, so I turned them into shaker cards :-) All of the cards can be found in the SnapDragon Snippets Store and in the Silhouette Design Store.
First of is the Bee Trio A6 Card :
This made with AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Chocolate, White, Black and Melon and decorated with patterned paper from BoBunnys "Garden Journal Collection".
All I did (and this goes for all three cards) was to make the shaker pieces by "releasing compound path" in the Silhouette software and make an internal offset of the bees body. Then I cut out six of these for each bee and glued them together. I made the acetate piece by removing the stripes on the body to get at full piece (again "release compound path) and glued the normal body onto it. Then I filled the shakers with glitter and tiny glass pearls and glued the acetated body on top. Finally I added three tiny pearls to the bees eyes.
I also made a little sentiment by using the sketch function in the Silhouette Software.

This one is made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Sky, Wine, Lavender and Bubblegum and decorated with patterned paper from BoBunnys "Secret Garden Collection". This one is a bit easier than the bee one, because you just have to internally offset the flowers to make the shaker part and the acetate is made from the original flower.
Finally there is the Butterfly Trio A6 card:

This is made from AC Cardstock in White, Bubblegum, Latte, Sky and Mint and with patterned paper from BoBunnys "Butterfly Kisses Collection".
The method to making this, is the same as with the bees.
I hope it all makes sense - otherwise just ask. It is really simple ones you get the hang of it and it's fun to make plain cards into interactive fun shaker cards.
New to SVG Attic? Check out these awesome places!
