Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Tracy here from the Idea Closet and today  I am excited to share my centerpiece for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

I used the 3 Narrow Candles with tea lights.
The candles can be used separately  or in the Centerpiece Tray.

They come in three sizes and are easy to assemble.

For my candles, I wrapped  burlap ribbon around the middle; use glue dots to hold it in place.
The pumpkin tag is from the JGW Thanksgiving Ornaments Tree.
Shrink down the pumpkin to fit the candles, then tie it on with twine  and wrap it around the burlap.

The candles can hold tea lights purchased from the dollar store.
Turn the lights on and set in the middle of your table.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving.

Gather Box Card

November is one of the most beautiful months of the year.
I love the colors and smells.

Tracy here and today I am sharing a project for SVG Attic celebrating the month of November.

Gather In Pumpkins 3D box Card is a wonderful box card and works up so nicely.

There are so many details, including 6 pumpkins and another 3 stacked pumpkins, two fences and lots of leaves and vines.

I added some twine to the pumpkin stems and tied around the box.

This card turned out so pretty, it would even make a great table decoration.
Paper is from Carta Bella- Autumn and Hello Fall lines.
Edges are inked with Memento inks.

Thank you for joining me today.

Autumn Layout with Beth

Hello everyone!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I did a layout for this project which is definitely not the norm for me, but I am happy to have accomplished it ;)
I used SVG Attic's English Marigolds Autumn A7 Card file for the layout, but only used the elements for the front of the card.  I sized those pieces to have them be 11" tall.  All the papers I used were from DCWV's Pumpkin Patch stack.  I inked the marigold cuts with brown chalk ink before assembling.
I kept the rest of the layout simple, only embellishing with Creamy Pumpkin Trendy Twine and leaving a space for a photo and journaling.  The best part is that since my daughter's name is Autumn, this layout title will have a dual purpose!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hello, today I'm bringing you a project from SVG Attic.  I made the Pilgrim Hat from SDS Pilgrims Prayer.  I think this is going to make a beautiful centerpiece on my Thanksgiving table.  The hat is so easy to put together and it comes with all the embellishments you need.  I did add a burlap flower to my hat.

Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing these amazing Candle Stands and 3D Chunky Pumpkins can be found in the SnapDragon Snippets Online Store

The Bow Wide is by SnapDragon Snippets and can be found in the Silhouette Design Store, Design ID #37447.

Using Speckletone Madero Beach 12 x 12 paper I cut the three Candle Stands and assembled. Using Distress Oxide Ink - Old Paper to distress the edges and accents on the Candle Stands.

Using the same Madero Beach paper, Paper Bag 12 x 12 paper and Kraft 12 x 12 paper in the shade Paper Bag I cut the 3D Chunky Pumpkins, using Parcel Wrap 12 x 12 I cut the pumpkin stems, leaves, and vines.
I use Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive to assemble all the projects above.

Using Carta Bella Hello Fall 12 x 12 papers to cut all the accents and bows.

The candle stands are easy to assemble but you need some time, so keep that in mind. They are totally worth the 2 hours I invested to create these gorgeous decorations for the center of my table.

The Lone Rooster

Hello - I hope you're having a nice Thursday today.

I'm just popping in to show you the awesome Rooster 3D Large Figure that I made some days ago. He is just perfect for fall and I found him very intriguing so I just had to make him.

I also had an ulterior motive for making him - it was my next door neighbors Birthday and she and her husband has a Chicken Coop and lucky for us next door - no rooster. Not that I go around the whole town and give everybody presents, but I wanted her to have him, just like saying: Please let him be the Lone Rooster in the Coop.

Here he is:
He is made from AC Cardstock in Clay, Mustard, Latte, Coffee and Cranberry and decorated with patterned paper from Graphic 45's "French Country" and some Swiss Dot Bazzill cardstock.

I inked all the edges with Distress Ink from Ranger and dotted his eyes with a White Sharpie.

He is surprisingly easy to assemble and stands well on his own.

I really hope my neighbor likes him and gets my little joke.

Thanks for visiting today - hope you like the Lone Rooster.

Pumpkin Treats with Beth

Hello my crafty friends!  Happy Monday.  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with these cute pumpkin treats!  I decided to create these to welcome in the fall season.
The file I used is from JGW Autumn Aire.  You can find the tutorial for assemble HERE.  I cut them out of papers from DCWV's Pumpkin Patch stack and assembled them with Scotch tacky glue.  I chose to add a Ghirardelli chocolate inside and embellished with a bow of Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine.  These will be perfect to give to my boys for a fall treat!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Fall Shakers

Hiya and happy Sunday :-)

Fall is here! Might not feel like it in some parts of the world, but the calendar says so. Soon the leaves will be dropping every where but first they'll turn with magnificent colors - Oh I can't wait!

To bring you in the mood, I made two cards. They were originally flat cards but I turned them into shakers. Just can't help that urge to make it a bit more challenging.

You'll find both cards in the JGW Harvest Wishes kit and the first one I played with, is the 3 Vintage Pumpkin Card:

For this card, I used AC Cardstock in Oregano, Butterscotch, Apricot and Rouge along with patterned paper from Carta Bella's Collection "Hello Fall"

It is very easy to make such a card into a shaker card if you own a Silhouette Cameo. You simply undo compound path on the pumpkins and make a internal offset of those shapes. You cut these shapes 5-6 times and layer them and glue this shape unto the back piece. Then you take your first made shapes and cut them in acetate. You layer the original pumpkin piece onto the acetate and glue it down. Now you find the glitter and confetti you want to use in the shaker and gently put it into the raised shape and close the pumpkin by gluing the top piece with the acetate onto the raised shape. Voila!

I sure hope I made sense there!

Next I made (with the exact same procedure) the Leaf Flake Card:

For this I used AC Cardstock in Leaf, Apricot and Rouge along with the patterned paper from Carta Bella. The top panel of the card is cut in Rose Gold Foil Sticker paper (grrrr…..doesn't show well on the picture) and for both cards I used various glitters and glass beads from my stash along with confetti from Nuvo.

Hope you enjoyed my post today - Fall isn't over yet and neither am I, so look forward to more Fall projects from me.

Perfect Pumpkin Projects

I don't really love fall.
Here in Salt Lake, it seams like we get 5 days of fall and then winter hits!

But I do love Pumpkin!

So today for SVG Attic I created 2 projects featuring those beautiful pumpkins.

The first project is the Folk Art Pumpkin Patchwork card.

This is such a pretty card.
If you love quilts or patchwork, Jodi has some beautiful quilt blocks and patchwork images.

The Pumpkin Block 3D Box, is another fun and easy file.
I made mine a little bit smaller and then distressed the edges.

The best part of this project is its made up of three smaller boxes.
The boxes can be filled with small treats or  gift cards.
Tie the boxes together and give as a gift to someone special.

I hope you enjoy these pumpkin projects as much as I have.
Thank you for joining me today.

Hello Fall!

Happy Friday! Lisa here from The Relativity of Paper sharing a few "framed" Fall pictures. I'm determined to use my new paper this year and this just worked! I have to confess that when I started this project I had BIG plans to embellish them to the nines but then something happened. I stood back and looked at them. No matter what I did I could not bring myself to pile the embellies on.

I'm telling you, this project is super simple, the frames have a nice size to create a fun grouping for any occasion or holiday. I used this last year for Halloween and paired it with the Witch Hat 3D Bow Rocker Card, super cute. You can find it here

Here you can see the dimensions. Best part all you need is a thumbtack to hang them. If you want to set them on a table or shelf I would recommend a small paperweight behind them.

To create this project you need JGW Marquees found in the Snapdragon Snippets Online Store and your favorite Fall-themed patterned paper. Don't have patterned paper, no worries. Use solid cardstock with a few Fall-themed cut files from the online store to create your own take on this project. Either way, give it a try.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Fall Favor Boxes with Tracy

Happy Fall!
Tracy here from Idea Closet and today I have some fall favor boxes.
These little boxes would be perfect to use as place settings for Thanksgiving or just sharing some love with friends and neighbors this month.

They are also quick and easy to do!

I started by using the Triangle Deep Lid Box

SDS Basic Deep Lid Boxes
'
Next you just need to add a fall tag.

For the leaf box, I used the two leaf patterns from the
JGW Autumn Leaves Ornaments Tree

For the rest of the boxes, I used files from the
JGW Thanksgiving Ornaments Tree

There are still some cute tags I want to make so I will be doing some more of these boxes this month.

Grab your favorite fall paper and make some of these boxes today.
You will be glad you did (and so will those you share them with)!

Sam the Scarecrow

Now that Halloween is over, this means one thing for the Inland Northwest. Snow. Nope. No. Naughta. NOT ready for the white stuff! We've lucked out and have only seen it once in our elevation so far! While trying to desperately hold onto all of the lovely colors of fall, I felt Sam needed to be assembled from the JGW Sam the Scarecrow file.
JGW Sam the Scarecrow

For my Sam, I downsized him just a smidge to maximize the usage of the papers I chose.
The only thing I changed on the crow was I added googly eyes rather than paper ones just to make it fun.
I added hay to all the places I imagine hay would stick out on a scarecrow.

Believe it or not all leaves were picked up off the lawn last weekend. Then the wind came and blew the tree bare. Which is perfect for my photo op, not so much for the husband who has to get them all picked up before the pending snow storm this weekend.
I just liked the sparkle on his nose in this one!
Sam is a happy scarecrow in his element.

Materials Used:
DCWV scrap papers
SVG Attic Sam the Scarecrow file
Silhouette Cameo 3
Silhouette Studio~Designer Edition
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
