Magical Unicorn Box Card with Beth

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  It is such a bittersweet post to write as it will be my last as part of this AMAZING team.  The owners of SVG Attic have decided to focus their energies on their family and other commitments (as it should be!) and close the SVG Attic/SnapDragon Snippets store at the end of February.  The good news is, their designs will still be available in the Silhouette Design Store and they sell SVG files there now too, so that will be an avenue to still get their beautiful designs.  Being part of their Inspiration Team as coordinator for the last 5 years under their ownership (and being part of it even before that) has been such a rewarding experience filled with beautiful friendships and much generosity.  It will be greatly missed <3

Now onto my final project...I decided to do something that would be forever memorable to me.  It isn't something huge or crazy involved, but will be close to my heart always.  I used the JGW Unicorn Magic Kit (SVG Attic store) or Unicorn Rainbow 3D Box Card #270072 (Silhouette Store) to make a first birthday card for my sweet baby girl.  Her birthday isn't until July, but this way it will be ready to give to her when the time comes :)
The majority of the papers I used are from Craft Smith's Stay Magical paper pad.  I added a little extra sparkle to different areas with a clear glitter Wink of Stella pen.
I also used papers from DCWV's 6x6 Whites and Gold Foil stacks for the clouds an clear acetate on the layers with the sun and rainbow.
Adhesives include ATG, tacky glue, foam tape, red line tape and Glue Dots (for the acetate).  I embellished the front with heart and star brads!
Here is a view of the card folded up flat so it can be mailed, or in my case, scrapbooked.
You can stay in touch with me and see my future projects on my blog, Beth's Beauties.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Can't get enough Unicorn Cards

If you have not seen the new Magic Kit you are missing out.
Tracy here from Idea Closet.  Last week I showed you a couple of Unicorn projects and today I am sharing two more  cards from this great kit!

If you love easy but beautiful cards, you really need to try some of the A2 Trio Cards.
This Unicorn and Stars card is beautiful and works up so easily.

Because I can never leave anything alone or the way it was designed, I had to change things around to create my own look.

First I created a background panel for the card and then I added the eyelashes, heart and flowers from the Shaker card to the unicorn on this card.

By using some small foam pop dots you can give the head a little dimension.

Look how tiny your digital machine can cut; that is a dime sitting next to those flowers.
I used my Silhouette Cameo but the portrait or the Cricut can do just as small.
(I did add the center of the flowers with a sharpie marker.)

To add these details you will need to copy them from the shaker card and then shrink them down to fit your card.

The second card I did was the shaker card but I didn't make it a shaker card, and I used the head from the Trio card instead of the one that came with this file.

To make the head, copy from the other file and resize.
Deletet the original head,  one of the eyelashes and one heart.
For the flower centers I used little stick on epoxy dots.

For the inside of the card I first made a panel.
Next I printed the words instead of cutting them and  used the sentiment label to create my own print and cut.

Delete the shaker rings and place the printed label on the inside of the card, making sure the words peak through the window.

It doesn't matter if you use the cards as they come, or change them up a bit, you will end up with some "magical" cards that any little unicorn lover will be please to receive.

Be a Unicorn

Hello! Today is my day over on the SVG Attic Blog. I'm excited to share with you my card.  I used the Unicorn Magic Kit

I used Doodlebug Unicorn paper.  I love how it all came together.

For the inside I used a transfer from Chalk Couture Be a Unicorn. Also 2 colors of Chalk Paste, Cherry Blossom and Wild Berry
