Set Sail with Lisa

Hi and welcome, everyone! Lisa from In The Crafting Cave sharing with you today. With Mother's Day and Summer upon us, I wanted to share a fun take on the JGW Fashionably French High Heel Shoe and Purse Gift Card Holder.  Every girl needs a great pair of shoes and handbag to set sail, right?

DCWV Seaside Yacht 12 x 12 Paper Pad
I just love the navy and cream floral pattern for this high heel, so couture!

Using the blue and cream polka dot paper in the shoe and purse pulls this set together.

So using DCWV Seaside Yacht 12 x 12 Paper Pad, Cream Cardstock, adhesive, and silver brads these items are super easy to make. And the great thing about them you can use any papers you have to create your very own Couture Fashion Line.

You can find all the details on my blog, In The Crafting Cave.

As always, thanks for joining us and
have a great weekend!

Travel Case for a magical vacation

Tracy here from the Idea Closet and I am so excited to share my new project with you.

Next month we are doing a family vacation to the happiest place on earth, so in honor of that trip I created a travel case that is perfect for gathering all our little paper keepsakes: tickets, maps, etc.

To create this case I started with the  Round Traveling Case from the

JGW Fashionably French

To decorate the front of the case I used the film frames and tickets from the
CG Box Cards Kit- the Movie Box Card.

CG Box Cards

I also added some flowers and created the heads using basic circle shapes.

Here are some close ups of the details on the case.

This is such a fun project and can be used in so many ways. I hope you will give it a try.

The "Right Knight" Collection

Hello All! I-Team Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine here. I'm so so excited to show you this new set "Right Knight" in full detail! First of all you can get this set for yourself at SVG Attic JGW Right Knight

I love being able to put collections together to show you guys! Thank you Jodi and SVG Attic for trusting me to do this!

The Rook. I wanted to give it the look of marble. What do you think? I love the added brads.

The Knight. Also wanted to give the look of marble.  I used Totally Black Trendy Twine for the reins.

The Knight boy card is my top fav of this set.  I got lazy and didn't want to go looking for different purples. So I did a trick my crafty friend Mitsy told me about. I cut all pieces out using white card stock and then used my eBrush with Spectrum Nior markers to create my own purples. I love this way! Might become a habit.

For the 2 cards below I used the following:

I had a lot of fun with the helmet card. I used the Jaded Blossom "Knight Bites"
and my eBrush again

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my post today!

Travel Time ~ with Cyndy G.

Hello, happy Friday!  Here in the South we are starting to see spring in full bloom and everything looks beautiful!  We have had a few cold days but we know the warm weather is right around the corner and you can see it everywhere you look.

All this warm weather gets me thinking about taking a vacation!  One of our favorite places to visit is Charleston, SC.  It has beautiful Southern Charm.  So this brings me to today's project.  I decided to make the round travel case from JGW Fashionably French.  This is a favorite of mine.

Travel case

I used Authentique Classique Beauty and it is beautiful!

One of the things that makes this a favorite of mine is all the little detail.  The brads or eyelets around the edge of the lid, down to the little "feet" on the case.  It also a nice size so you can use it as a gift box and it's not too hard to put together.  It has straight edges.  This gives you more guidance than a circle (I think).  If you haven't tried this one, you should I think you will like it as much as I do.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Thank you for stopping by.

Do what inspires you,
Cyndy G.

Spring brings Mother's Day!

Hello SVG Attic Fans! I-Team member Sonja here with a Mother's day/spring project. Mother's day is a day I rarely remember! I know, bad. I am usually way more excited to celebrate other holiday's that are aimed at other people though!

I decided to make a happy little Mother's day gift, using Gaby's Garden and JGW Blooming Card Kit files.

I love Gaby's Garden because of the little shovel, the flowers/pot, and the hat that is in the file.
Since I already did the hat for an Easter project though, I decided to switch it out for this great card.
I like the that tools are able to be removed from this card. I just like to have some movement with my cards so this satisfied that need!
A little tip. Knowing that I wanted to arrange these to stand up in a bunch, I took a dozen q-tips, painted them green with my eBrush and the centers whatever color I wanted for my flower and arranged them that way instead of using paper.

Materials Used:
SVG Attic files: http://svgattic.com/
     ~Gaby's Garden
     ~Blooming Card Kit
DCWV paper stacks:
     ~Garden Charm
     ~Paper Plants
Scotch ATG Gun
Aleene's Tacky Glue
Sharpie Markers
Silhouette Cameo
Craftwell eBrush
Recollections Brads

Race box card with Angeline

Happy Monday! :)
Angeline here to share with you a box card I made using Cyndy's first kit "CG Box Cards" -- she designed for SVG Attic. This kit is AMAZING if you've not seen it. So much variety and love every card in the kit.

I chose the Race Box Card which is not only perfect for boys, but BIG boys too (yups, lots of men are in love with cars hehe). I even "stole" my hubby's toys to do my photo op.

I added some Tim Holtz washi tape with the names of places, some arrows and if you are a fan of Initial D, you'd know what 86 means :)
