Happy Autumn

Happy Sunday to you and thank you so much for joining me today.

For the final Autumn projects this year I chose to make the cute 3D Owl from the JGW Autumn Aire kit:

I used AC Cardstock in Coffee, Chocolate, Caramel, Rust and Latte along with patterned paper from Echo Park's "A Perfect Autumn" and woodgrain patterned paper from Simple Stories.

All edges are inked with Distress Ink and I used some hemp cord to tie around the belly of the Owl.

I also doodled some highlights in his eyes with a white Sharpie.

He is quite large and sooooooo adorable not to mention very easy to make.

I also made the Oak Leaf Wreath:

I used AC Cardstock in Chocolate, Latte, Pomegranate, Leaf, Apricot, Mustard, Goldfish, Plum, Rouge and Wine for this.

All edges are inked with Distress Ink and the leaves and the berries are embossed with different embossing folders from Darice and Sizzix.

I also used pop dots to add the leaves to give it more dimension.

This one is going to live with my mother, who recently moved from her house into a small apartment with a front door that has a window in it. This will be perfect to hang there and spred a little Autumn happiness.

Thanks for joining me today - now it's time for Christmas!

Fall Fun

Hello - so glad to see you again! Hope you're having an awesome Fall Sunday.

I've been having fun with various fall projects lately and two of them, I'll show you right here. There are lots to choose from in the SVG Attic catalog and it's hard to limit yourself to just a few (just look at me! )

First of is the cute Scarecrow with Hay Bale Stand from the JGW Fall Ensemble kit:

I used AC Cardstock in Chestnut, Coffee, Kale, Bubblegum, Rouge, Butterscotch, Melon, Apricot, Leaf, Latte, Black and Surf along with patterned paper from Echo Park Paper's collection "A Perfect Autumn." All edges are inked with Distress Ink from Ranger in matching colors.
So easy and straight forward to make and if you do not glue the stick inside the Hay Bale, it's very easy for storage. Isn't he adorable?

Next I made the 3D Acorn from the JGW Harvest Blessing kit:

This guy is made from AC Cardstock in Caramel, Coffee, Chestnut, Apricot and Leaf along with the patterned paper from Echo Park. I used a dotted embossing folder on the lid panels to match the bubbly pattern and a leaf vein embossing folder on the large oak leaf. All edges are also inked with the Distress Ink.

Then I tied some raffia around the stem for a little extra.

As I'm going to use this as decor in my living room along with the Scarecrow, I didn't need it to be a box, so I glued it shut.

It just doesn't get more fall-like than this, right?

Carousel ~ with Cyndy G

Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing a project from SVG Attic.  The bag and boxcard from CG Carousel Dreams.  It is my favorite kit I've created.  I just love the look of everything!  I decided to use some "boy" colors and I must say I love how everything turned out!

You could definitely use this for the special little man in your life!

The paper I used is Echo Park - Once Upon A Time, Prince.  I just love the colors of this paper.  It gives everything a very princely feel :)

Thank you for stopping by.
