A good oldfashioned Floral Christmas Decoration

Hiya! So great of you to visit us today.

Are you ready for Christmas? Have you decorated your house yet? Yup….I'm all done but I also got amazing help from Hubby even thought he detests Christmas. All decorations are up, all the lights are up and I've got all my favorite Christmas figures and paper projects out. And HEY! - it's not even December yet!

We have an old tradition of making Floral Christmas Decorations here in Denmark. Usually we make one with a candle that counts down to Christmas Eve and we burn down a little every day. Others make these decorations with ordinary candles as well or maybe tealight candles. We use all kinds of greenery, moss, twigs and berries from nature and organize it to our likings. My Sister is a regular Goddess when it comes to making floral arrangements and Christmas Decorations. Me - not so much. I have my things with paper.

So I asked Jodi if she could make something like these decorations in paper - and YAY! - she did.

I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Evergreen, Pine, Forest, Olive and Latte and decorated the tray with patterned paper from Maya Design "Christmas Season"

I simply followed the instructions on Jodi's page (found herehere and here) She explains it so much better than me.

I didn't alter anything this time but made just the same - because it's so like the "real" decorations. I did add some berries, small toad stools and twigs and lots of glitter.

Let me just say - this is not something you make in a couple of hours. It's pretty time consuming with all the making of the sprigs and leaves but it's soooo worth it.

So now I can check of the Christmas Table Centerpiece as well and I really hope to see your version too.

Thanks for joining me today and please leave a few thoughts below
