Specially For You ~ with Cyndy G.

Happy Friday today I am sharing a project from SVG Attic.  I made the tulips bouquet pop up card from the Tulips Festival Kit.  This is such a beautiful card!

Handmade card in soft pastels

I used Graphic 45 - Once Upon A Springtime paper.  I love the soft colors.  I changed the center on the front card from the oval to the more decorative shape from the inside.  I inked all the edges to define the two different papers.

I am giving this card to my friend for her birthday. I used the "Happy Birthday" using my Graphic 45 - Time To Flourish stamp set.

I just love how the flowers turned out.  I used a coral and then a pink ink around the edges of the flowers.  I also inked the basket in brown.  When making this card make sure to take extra care when gluing the inside panel.  It is important that the seams line up exactly.

4th of July Cowboy Style

Hello all. Sonja with Sugar Bean Cards here to bring you a cowboy style 4th of July centerpiece.

I started with the Cowboy 3D Boot Panels Fringe file.

I used the Craftwell eBrush to highlight the edges of the cowboy boot. For the top half of the boot, I used Paper House's 'Let Freedom Ring' paper.
Next I decided the best thing to fill the top was flowers
I didn't spend too much time with the flowers, but the shot glasses helped shape them so I could move onto other flowers.
Finished Project:

    Come Away with Me

    Happy Sunday and welcome back.

Ahhhh! - Now it's Summer time and soon time for my annual Summer vacation. Something we treasure highly in my family as everyday can sometimes be a bit harsh due to all our challenges. So this time, once a year, we throw all our cares away, get on a plane and fly down south and this year we'll be visiting Mallorca - the largest of the Balearic Islands, Spain. We've been there before but we do love this island, so we decided to go back.

The only thing I don't look forward to is 14 days without my crafting…...YIKES! Gotta smuggle something with me so I don't go mad (Ehm....more mad)

Ok so with this in mind, I decided to make something with a travel theme and my eyes landed on the gorgeous Round Traveling Case from SVGAttic's JGW Fashionably French kit. I've seen many versions of it made the last couple of months and wanted to make my own - and here it is:

I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Chestnut and Coffee along with the delightful Graphic 45 paper "Come Away with Me" collection that seems just right for this project.

I also used some Cricut Faux Leather for the strap, metal colored dots as nail heads and a ball chain to hold the tag and a tiny metal key.

Then I dived into my huge stash of Prima flowers and found some that matched the paper real well along with a rhinestone swirl. Finally I also found some glass cabochons to decorate with.

Such a fun project to make and the suitcase goes together so easy but looks so amazing - don't you think? Tell me in a comment.

Thanks for stopping by today - I really hope you like my version of the suitcase.

    Don't Get Hooked!

Happy Friday, everyone. Lisa from The Relativity of Paper bringing you today's post. I'm sharing two fun projects that are perfect for the "fisher-person" in your life. I used artificial baits to decorate the hat and card. Hence, don't get hooked!

I started with the Fishing 3D Bucket Hat. This hat is so cute and super easy to put together. I thought I might toss a few pieces of candy or a pack of cashews in the hat.  You could even put a pack of hooks and a small bobber in it.

Of course, you have to have a card to celebrate a birthday. So I created the Fishing Vest A7 Card and Envelope

I used Jelly Bean Green 12 x 12 100lb cardstock and a piece of 12 x 12 Jillibean Soup patterned paper from my stash to create the pockets, the band on the hat and as an accent piece on the envelope flap. To cut the pocket flaps and "gone" I used a scrap piece of 12 x 12 red paper.
I had to add the recipients initials on the vest.

I really enjoyed creating these pieces and I know my "fisher-person" is going to like them, too.
    He better or else!

As always, thanks for joining us today.

    Large Patriotic Decor

Today's project is from SVG Attic and I am using files from the
Tracy here, from the Idea Closet.
Its not too early to start on some Patriotic decor and these files makes it so easy.
Grab the files, some paper (by Photo Play) and a glue gun.

I started with the Chunky 3D Star.
This project was originally designed to lace together but because I wanted to add the rosette to the front of the star, I instead used my low melt glue gun and glued the sections together.

In order for the rosette to fit the star, I decreased the size.
(In Silhouette, choose a scale of 75%)

I also decided not to use the July 4th words and placed one of the stickers from the sticker sheet on the rosette.

Assemble the rosette using a cool melt glue gun- I promise; Rosettes are a breeze with a glue gun!

Love, Love, LOVE the roman candle file.
The three wicks go together pretty simple using the glue gun again.
I cut the wicks from copy paper but you could use almost anything.

Here is a close up of the rosette done for the roman candle.  Once again I used stickers from the sticker sheet and a glue gun.

The roman candle is pretty big.  I place it next to this sparkling cider bottle so you can get an idea of how big it is.
The candle is 10" tall and the wicks add another 2.5".

There are also two bottom options so if you want, you can fill the candle with treats or a gift.

A couple of years ago I made the smaller fire crackers from the JGW Festive Fourth collection .

Be sure to check out SVG Attic and get started on those July projects.

    Crafting with Kids

Happy Monday morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today with these crafts my boys recently created.  They are busy with fun summer projects and sometimes that includes spending time in the craft room with mom :)

First up, a monogrammed treat holder.  The file is from JGW Star Tent Place Cards.  It was very easy to assemble!  The papers used are from The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation paper pad and Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine was used to embellish.
Second, my 8 year old wanted to create a 3D item, and after browsing the SVG Attic website, he decided on this cake slice box from SVGA Make A Wish.  The papers used are from The Paper Studio's Birthday Extravaganza paper pad.
Here is a view with it open.
The final project is this slice form rocket place card from SVG Outta This World.
I hope this post inspires you to get out those papers and cutting machines to create with your kids or grandkids!  It is a great time for bonding with them and passing on your love of paper crafting.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Fairy Dust Lantern ~ with Cyndy G

Good morning and happy Friday.  Today I am sharing a project from SVG Attic.  I created a fairy house using the 3d Hanging Lantern and Graphic 45 - Fairy Dust.

Paper lantern with fairies inside sitting on flowers

I love the way the lantern went together.  Everything fits together very tightly especially the top.  Take your time and work the top piece in carefully or you will crush it.  The lantern is small, only 3x3 square and about 7.5 inches tall including the ring on top. I changed the window cutouts so you could see the inside of the lantern better.  I used the Circle grille on all four panel windows and cut out the center to open it up.

Paper lantern with fairies inside sitting on flowers

I used small paper roses, daisy and mushrooms in the center to place my fairy on.  I inserted the wires from the flowers through the tiny hole in the center of the bottom piece and twisted them together underneath.  Then I built up some mushrooms I had cut out of the Fairy Dust paper using foam tape and glued them behind the center cluster of flowers and mushrooms.

    Father's Day Box Cards

Hello all. Sonja with Sugar Bean Cards here to show you the Father's Day cards I made using the CG Box Cards file. Fun fact, Father's Day originated here on Spokane Washington! Anywho moving on...

This file is perfect for those who have multiple fathers to celebrate. There's a little something for everyone.
To begin with, I cut out all of the shapes for all five cards.
Once all the pieces were cut and organized to each card, I got to assembling. There really is a card for just about any dad in this set.

    The Grill Master:

     The Dinosaur
     The Seasoned Rider
I used the Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron® to adhere the darker gray pieces as the paper was more delicate and I didn't want it to warp with glue.
I wanted to use some chrome brads because everything looks better with chrome
I also used the Xyron Creative Station® for the finer/smaller pieces so again, glue didn't warp them.
    The Movie Lover
Again, the Xyron Creative Station® came in handy to adhere the smaller pieces together
The Racing card was so easy, I didn't even get any pictures of assembly!

    Finished Cards:

    Grill Master

    The Dinosaur
