Sunflower Box ~ with Cyndy G.

Hello, today I am sharing a beautiful Sunflower 3D Hex Box from the kit JGW Sunflower Sunshine by SVG Attic.  Everything in this kit is stunning.  I made the box as a gift for a friend of mine.  I know she will love it.

Sunflower Box

The box is surprisingly easy.  You just need some time to put all the petals together.  It was also the first time I have done a rosette.  I had my son help me hold it while I glued it down.

Sunflower Box

I used Graphic 45 - French Country.  It is out right now as a Deluxe Collectors Edition.

Thank you for stopping by.

Tent Cards

Hello all, I-team Sonja here. I needed to make some more elegant cards for a few people. After going through SVG Attic's website, I came across the tent cards file.

Now, this file doesn't just have four cards in it. It actually has three different sizes of cards with four different face shapes to each so all in all you get 12 card shapes as well as 12 matching envelopes with this file!

Because I needed something more elegant and less complicated than what I normally do with cards, I decided to go the embossing route.
These cards are great for creating 3D effects, however they still lie down flat for shipping.
I thought about doing a more 3D theme for each card, but I think the simplicity worked better for what I need them for.

Materials Used:

DCWV Rose Quartz stack
SVG Attic 'Tent Cards' file
Silhouette Cameo 3
Silhouette Studios-Designer Edition
Sizzix Big Shot
Darice embossing sleeves
Close to My Heart-Take Heart Occasions stamp set
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue

Uncle Sam

Good Morning! Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine here.  I just had to create Uncle Sam for you.  Uncle Sam is from JGW July 4th Block Party

I use pop dots to pop the hat brim, the eyes, and give added dimension to the star.

I used Trendy Twine's Peppermint Icicle. I love the softness of the blue

I used Doodlebug's Yankee Doodle Paper for this.

I hope you enjoyed this. Thank you!

July 4th with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a fun idea using the JGW July 4th Block Party and JGW Sam's Hat Kits. I've been wanting to step outside my norm, try something different. I found this Chalk Board Easel stand at my local big box store and the wheels started turning. Of course, there was a chalk marker hanging next to it and I decided then I would try to stencil it because my penmanship is not the best.
I resized the July 4th from the JGW July 4th  Block Party Collection to fit the board and used a piece of white cardstock to create my stencil. Once the stencil was created it was just a matter of taping it down and using the chalk marker to create the sign. Honestly, this couldn't be any easier and I see a few more of these being made for Halloween and Christmas.
Next, I cut the stars from the JGW Sam's Hat Kit in all three sizes. I love that they are dimensional. Once I had them cut and "assembled" I attached them to a strip of paper so I could wrap fairy lights around it.

I finished it off with a few die-cut circles just because it needed a little something else.
So next time you are wanting one of those gorgeous chalkboard signs but dread the thought of writing on your beautiful clean chalkboard, make a stencil!

As always, thanks for joining us!

America "Wood" Blocks

Tracy here from the Idea Closet and today is my turn to share on the SVG Attic.
If you are still looking for a fun Patriotic project I have the perfect one for you today.

These blocks look like wood blocks but they are 100% paper and so easy to do.

The file is from the JGW July 4th Block Party Kit and if you haven't seen it yet you need to check it out.

JGW July 4th Block Party

There are so many fun projects in this kit, I wasn't sure where to begin but my favorite is the America Blocks.

I cut all of my blocks from a brown cardstock and then inked them up a lot to give it a wood look.
To create the panels, just do an offset (silhouette) or a small square (Cricut) and glue to the front of each block.

Cut two copies of the letters.  Glue one to the front of the box and then layer the second letters with foam pop dots.

Add some twine and its all done.

Enjoy your beautiful "wood" blocks!

Sewing Framed Art with Beth

Hello all!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I really was excited to make this project!  It is a vinyl saying with paper and lace accents in a frame.
The vinyl saying comes from the JGW Just Sew set.  I cut it out in black vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo and layered it on the patterned papers I chose from DCWV's Royal Gypsy stack.
I added navy lace hem facing around the bottom and used the thimble and diamond quilt block files from JGW Parlor Patchwork as well as the scissors file from JGW Just Sew to the left corner.  The finishing touch was a threaded needle that I wove into the lace.  I then placed it all into a 8.5x11" frame.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Birthday ~ with Cyndy G

Hello, thank you for stopping by.  Today I am going to share a quick and easy Birthday card I made for my niece.  It is from JGW Take the Cake.

Birthday card

The paper I used is from Graphic 45 - A Time To Celebrate.

Birthday card

I also used some Tickled Pink and Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine as the string on my balloons.

Birthday card

I personalized it by adding my nieces' name to the banner and popped it with some foam tape.  This card is very easy to customized for any person young/old or boy/girl - all by the paper you select.

Thank you again for stopping by.

Floral Topiary

Hello all! Sonja with the I-team here to share with you a floral topiary pot. Now I added more flowers and greenery to mine, just to showcase a small example of what can become of this wonderful set coming soon.

There are a lot of new sets coming out so keep checking on SVG Attic's website.
However, I couldn't wait for this one to come out in a set so I grabbed the 3D Flower Ball and Topiary Pot from the Silhouette store and got to work! I decided to go the full topiary route instead of just doing the 3D flower ball, because well I've done plenty of flower balls this year already!

One of the things I really enjoyed about this project was the ability to make each flower different by using a different sheet of cardstock.
With all the paper from one stack, they all match.
I just happened to have some gold brads on hand to help with the pop of texture.
For the bottom of the pot, I made smaller flower buds and added some green leaves and ivy.

The construction of the flower buds are actually rather simple. There are a lot though so plan ahead for some time to make this project!
Tutorials are found on Needles 'n' Knowledge blog.

Materials Used:

DCWV 'Preserved Flower' stack
SVG Attic 3D Flower Topiary files
Silhouette Cameo 3
Silhouette Studio~Designers Edition
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
Recollections gold brads

Moments Captured with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome. Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing this box and a mini album with you. I used the JGW Sunflower Sunshine Kit's Hex Box to create the box and mini album.

I've had this paper in my stash for a very long time and it's been calling my name lately. To get started I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the Hex Box using two different patterns from the Echo Park "Oh, Snap" Kit. I do love paper kits because you usually get the coordinating stickers. And I did a lot of decorating with the stickers. Once I had the box assembled I moved onto the album.
You'll notice the Hex Box has a base "liner" used to reinforce the box. I used that liner to create the pages in my mini album. I even played around with three of the hexagons welding them together and then adding perforated lines and a cut line to create a three-page foldout.

You can find all the details on my blog; The Relativity of Paper.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Tropical Box Card

Summer is in full force now and it is a little toasty.

I can't help but think of warm, sunny beaches, flip flops and the sand.

Tracy here from the Idea Closet and today I created this fun, bright box card.

I love this card.  It can be found in the  JGW Tropical Haven Collection at SVG Attic.

JGW Tropical Haven
and the assembly instructions  can be found here.

One of the things I love about this card is it includes some of my favorite summer items.
The other thing I love about it, is the bright colors;

but my favorite part about this card, and all box cards, are they fold up so nice and are perfect for mailing.  Even with all the foam pop dots I used!

I hope you will give box cards a try, if you haven't already, and this Stay Cool Tropical box card is perfect!

S'more Gift Set with Beth

Happy Monday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I have a niece who turned 3 yesterday and she loves roasting marshmallows.  I thought the S'more gift box and adapted s'more card from JGW S'more Fun would be perfect for her!
This s'more card was adapted from the gift card holder card that is in the file.  I simply omitted the middle pieces that would hold the gift card.  I used solid color cardstock (mostly scraps!) for it and inked around the outside of most of the cuts with brown chalk ink.
I added a 3 to the heart because it is for a 3rd birthday.  The bow of Cherry Latte Trendy Twine and some white gel pen stitching were the finishing touches on this card.
The s'more gift box holds enough supplies for 7 s'mores!  I used papers from DCWV's Adventurer stack for it.  I assembled it using Scotch Tacky glue.
The campfire tag is part of the file too!  I added it to the box with a bow of Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Pink Carousels ~ with Cyndy G

Hello crafty friends.  Thank you for stopping by today.  I know I am a little late with the blog post but I have been very busy putting the finishing touches on a new kit that will be out very soon.  Carousel Dreams.  I just love how everything is coming out.  Today I am going to share two of the pieces.  A gift bag and treat bag.

Ferris wheel gift bag and carousel treat bag

The paper is the beautiful Authentique - Imagine Collection.  I also used some Tickled Pink Trendy Twine and ribbon I had from 3 Girl Jam.

The gift bag is 9.5" tall and 3" deep.  I used foam tape to pop up my Ferris Wheel and
I attached the wheel with a brad so my wheel will spin.

The treat bag is 4x3x2.  This bag can be cut on 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.  I hope you will love this kit as much as I do.  Thank you again for stopping by.
