Notions Box ~ with Cyndy G

Happy Friday Crafters!  Today I am sharing a box from the new JGW Just Sew kit.  This box is so much fun.

I used the adorable Home Sweet Home from Graphic 45.

I decided to use a little flower I had in my stash for the handle and I put some of my embellishments in the box.  The box is very sturdy when completed!  I just love it.

Fly high for a birthday wish!

Hello SVG Attic's! DT Sonja here. This little set was fun to make! Once I finally figured out what color scheme I wanted that is! I debated for weeks on this one. Did I want to go traditional colors or mix it up a bit.

I decided to mix it up a bit!

I started with the plane which while it looks intimidating in the design area, it actually is easy to put together!
Since this is a birthday set for my brother in law, I made sure that the wheels turn and the propeller spins (manually that is). He's a tinkerer!
As long as I have known him, he's had a fascination with planes and now he gets to work on them for a living!
The card I changed just slightly. I added the stars and changed the design on the back fin just to match the plane.
The propeller on the card also spins
I popped the cockpit and back fin up just to give it a bit of depth!

Under the Sea Slider Card with Angeline

Happy Monday.
Angeline from ScrappyScrappy here to share with you an interactive slider card I made using CG Under the Sea kit.
This set is AMAZING and Cyndy did such a great job creating this kit.

Interactive cards are THE trend right now and this card is just PERFECT to go wild with your imagination.

I gave the diver a funky cool looking suit to swim under the sea with all the pretty sea creatures.
Oh, and he says "Hi there"! :)

I inked up the corals with some distress inks for some soft blend of colors and added glitter to the bubbles too.

Shabby Chic Thimble Box with Beth

Good morning crafty friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I am so excited to share my latest project with you!  When Jodi Warner released her JGW Parlor Patchwork on SVG Attic, I was immediately drawn to it.  I used the thimble box that is in that set to create today's project.
All the fabulous details in the file are so perfect!  I used DCWV's Minty Lace stack (available at AC Moore stores).  The colors of the paper and the embellishments really create a shabby chic feel to the thimble.  There is a wonderful tutorial HERE for assembling this thimble box.
Here is a view of how it opens up.
And a close up of the embellishments.
And here is the whole JGW Parlor Patchwork set available at SVG Attic!

Pet Gifts with Lisa

Hi and welcome, everyone. Lisa from In the Crafting Cave bringing you a few ways to present Pet gifts. I think often times we forget that some people consider their pets to be their children, especially, couples who can't have children. And how sad that we don't acknowledge their fur babies. I was one of those people, and I say let's give "Pet Parents" and their babies some love, too! So here are a few ideas next time you want to give a Pet gift.

With just a few SVG Attic Files you will be passing out these cute Pet gifts yourself.

I created the Fire Hydrant Treat Box using the JGW Little Fire Chief Kit, the gift card holder using the SVGA Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes, and the card using the paw print from SVGA Jack's Tracks.
One of the best things about all the Kits listed, they can be used for multiple projects. The Little Fire Chief Kit makes for an awesome birthday party or load that fire hydrant up with homemade cookies for your local fire department. Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes can be used for any occasion just by changing papers. Jack's Tracks actually has a few items that can be used for multiple purposes, too

.
We all know people who love pets. Here's a fun way to tell them how awesome they are!

Gift cards are great for new pet owners!

My sweet girl had her own cookie jar that was a red fire hydrant, inspiration comes from all around us.

Such a fun way to give a Pet gift!

As always, thanks for joining us and we hope you have a fantastic weekend
Join me over on blog, In the Crafting Cave, and I will have a list of pet related papers and embellishments to help you create your Pet gifts.

Glamping and Secret Sister Gifts

Have you ever heard of "Glamping"?
Its short for glamorous camping.

Tracy here from the Idea Closet and I am sharing with you a project I did for my daughter.

Next week is my daughter's girls camp; there are about 12 girls going and a couple of them are not campers.

Every year they draw names for Secret Sisters- another girl that they will do things for all week including  a little daily gift.

Jenna drew the name of one of the girls who in not overly excited to be going.
Because she wanted her secret sister to have an enjoyable time and feel good about coming, she picked out some small fun gifts and asked me if I would make something cute to put them in.
Of course I said yes.
Here is what I came up with.

This little 3D Camp Tent Box is perfect for holding treats.
I embossed the Top Covering with a swirly embossing envelope just to "glam" it up a little and then tied the flag with some twine., Fill it up with some M&M's and what girl could resist?

The Lotion box is really made from the S'more Gift Box File, I just used the plain front.
I have to say this is one of my favorite boxes.  I love the size, the window and everything about it!

The 3D Camper Box is probably my favorite, and its a box you can fill with all kinds of good stuff.  (Jenna placed a couple  pairs of fun socks in it.)

For the last gift, we made this little Mason jar box, only instead of a Mason jar she put in a little bodywash, shampoo and lufa that she picked up at the dollar store.
I used the tag from this file and made a second one to add to the S'more box as well.

By doing all the projects in pinks and browns and with some pretty floral paper I hoped to give the impression of some Glamours Camping gifts.

To create the projects I used files from 2 kits

JGW Smore Fun

The Tent, S'more Box and Camper all came from the JGW S'more Fun Kit.

JGW Neighbor Gift Set

The Mason Jar box comes from the JGW Neighbor Gift Set.

I hope you will try one or more of these fun projects, even if you are not "Glamping" this summer!

It's a Boy!

Hello all! Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine here today.  I had an idea for a card but really didn't know how to execute it. It took about four samples to finally get it! Hope you enjoy!

The airplane, train, and car are from SVG Attic Baby Boy collection.
The plane and train interlock, then the car folds down and the backing tucks under the train and plane.

I used my Scan and Cut for the "Congratulations" Love that machine!

above is the inside and below in the back.

Also used the following to put this card all together.

Under The Sea ~ with Cyndy G.

I am super excited to share with you today a new kit I created CG Under the Sea!  The inspiration for this kit was the Graphic 45 collection Beneath the Sea.

Up first is the Deep Sea Diver Slider Card.  This was my first time making one of these
and I am definitely going to make more.  They are very fun.

The elements of the cards are also included as jpg's for those of you who prefer to print and cut.  The card will fit a standard A7 envelope, so it shouldn't cost you too much to mail!  I have friends that still mail cards and I try to design with the cost of postage in mind.

There is also a Sub Box Card.

Submarine box card

This one was so much fun to create.  You can also use an A7 envelope for this card.

Next up is the 4x6 Nautical Box.
I don't know about you but I just LOVE the Ephemera Cards from Graphic 45.
So I decided to make a little box that you could make and highlight a 4x6 ephemera card.

4x6 box

There is also a Porthole box.  This cute little box has a porthole shaker attached to the top.

I used decorative paper as the background for the shaker.

Lastly, their is a Cabana Milk Carton Box because you need somewhere to change into your wet suit.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the new kit CG Under the Sea.

Here is a list of the products I used:

Practice makes perfect

Well, nearly! Hello all, DT Sonja here to share with you my recent project. While in the store the other day, I wanted to find something to help my son continue his sight words throughout the summer. I figured a whiteboard would be great and save on paper!

Having two children (7 and 3), led me to pick up two 14 x 14 whiteboards. Which then led me to thinking some vinyl lettering and school related details would be perfect.

To cut down on the arguing over who's is who's, I went to SVG Attic's website and found the SDS Nested Alphabet (for their name) as well as the  Nested Numbers set and the 'Back to School' file.

I also picked up magnetic ABC's and popsicle sticks. I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought it was a great use of my son's old lunch box and a way to keep his letters and sight words all in one spot.

I added all the recommended sight words for 1st and 2nd grade as well as a few 3rd grade ones.

Not only does each child's name appear at the top of their boards, but each one has different details to make them more individualized!

For the crayons, because I didn't have a darker layer of each color, I simply used my eBrush to darken the under layer with sharpie markers.
