Window Box Cards with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome! Today I'm sharing my take on the Window Box Card from the CG Box Cards 2 Collection. This card comes together quickly. I did a little embossing with a wood grain and stamped a die-cut banner for the sentiment. Originally I had embossed blue cardstock with clouds for the window, and then I thought you're looking in and maybe plaid, thinking wallpaper, would be cute. Scroll down to see how I used the embossed blue cardstock.

So while I was putting the finishing touches on this card, I got to thinking(scary) what if I pulled a few files from other SVG Attic Collections and created an Easter Card. So back to the machine I head cutting the Window Box Card minus the flowers. I then grabbed the carrot from the JGW Happy Easter Upright Bunny Box and the Chocolate Bunny from the SVG Attic Easter Elements for resizing and cutting.

I stamped the wood grain, embossed the clouds, die-cut the banner and fence, stamped my sentiment and finished off with pearls.

Feel free to join me on my blog, The Relativity of Paper for all the details on this project.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Vintage Watering Can

Spring is here and I am ready to go play in the garden.

Tracy here and today is my turn to post on the SVG Attic blog and what could be more fitting for spring then a vintage watering can?

I am so happy with the way this turned out.
I used paper from Pink Paislee and the  Hex shaped watering can from the

SDS Watering Wishes

To create this project, 1st open the Hex shaped watering can and double the size.
(mine stands almost 8" tall and is 11" wide from the handle to the spout)
Once the can is glued together and before you add the optional access pieces, ink everything up with a tan ink.

Cut two of the flat daisies, without changing the size.
Ink them as well.

The can needed a couple of butterflies so I used the two from

Easter Elements

To finish it off, tie some twine around the spout.

I can't wait to place this project up on my shelf in my kitchen.

Easter Egg Wagon

Happy Monday! Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine. I'm excited to bring you a twist on a card. This card is originally "Wagon full of Luck Card" from JGW Luckily Charmed Collection
I love with a different "load" and paper you can do so much with this card.

I used a couple embossing folders for the wagon.
All paper is from Doodlebug.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day and please leave a comment!

Stitched Heart Sympathy Card with Beth

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I am sharing a card that's intended purpose is a Valentine's Day card, but I made it for a very different reason.
A close friend of mine had a Grandpa pass away and her favorite color is purple.  So I got out my Lilac Love stack from DCWV and the stitched heart card file from JGW Sewn From the Heart set and got to work on a sympathy card.
I used Grape Fizz Trendy Twine to lace all of the hearts onto the card base as well as the bow on the sentiment banner.  A few adhesive pearls were the only additional embellishments I added to this card.  For an assembly tutorial for this card, check out Jodi's blog!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Leo the Leprechaun

Hello everyone! I-team member Sonja here with a fun little project. While at parent teacher conferences for my daughter, her preschool teacher asked me if I was willing to come up with a treasure hunt game for St. Patrick's day. I of course agreed to come up with something.

That something though was the question of the day! What can I do for a preschool class since they cannot read. It needs to be something they can do as well as quickly to keep them engaged. After looking through all of SVG Attic's files, I decided to go with the 'Go Green' svg set.
Go Green
I happened to have an empty foam reader board lying around. It quickly came to me. I decided to have the children do a color treasure hunt game. Find all the colors of the rainbow to help Leo, the Leprechaun, find his pot of gold!

Leo is the perfect file for this as he looks like he is waving to the kids. They loved him!

I added some of the coins from this file to the pot of gold to give it a bit more texture and depth.

I decided since Leo gets his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it would only be appropriate for the children to get their own little pots of gold after finding all the colors of the rainbow.
I ended up making 16 little pots of gold.  I simply took the pot of gold from this file, made a box, and sandwiched the two cut outs on each side of the box.
Before I glued the pots together, I ran them through my Big Shot to emboss them. Make them a little bit more fun for the kids!

Bottle of Luck with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome! Lisa with you today and I'm sharing a fun spin on the JGW Cupids Aim - Love Potion Bottle. I've bottled up some luck for all of us! If I could bottle luck I would be one rich woman, right? We all know that's not happening.

I used a few elements like the horseshoe and some of the shamrocks from the JGW Lucky Box Letters.  A few of the other parts come from the St. Patrick's Day Box Card that can be found in the Silhouette Design Store or our sister store, SnapDragonSnipets.

All the papers I used are from my stash. The solid green is Bazzill that I purchased last year from Tuesday Morning and the patterned paper is Doodlebug.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Leprechaun Hats

I don't know about you but I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that not only is it March, but that March is half over!
What???

Anyway, Tracy here and today is my turn to post on the blog. To help celebrate St. Patrick's day this week I decided to make some fun gifts.

I love these little hats and they are perfect for sharing a little treat.
The file is from the JGW Top O the Morning kit

Jodi has easy to follow instructions here.

I created two different sizes of hats.  The dark green is the hat just as Jodi created the file.

To make a slightly bigger hat, increase the size by 125%.  At this size it still fits on a 12 x 12 mat but the hat is a little bigger.

To give the hats a finishing touch, add some twine around the hat band.

I am so excited with how these turned out and I can't wait to give them away.

I hope you will check out this fun file.  You still have a couple of days to create some really great projects before St. Patrick's day is here.

Happy Easter Card with Angeline

Happy Monday!
Angeline here to share with you an EGG-tra special card I made using the JGW Happy Easter kit.
I saw this card and knew how FUN it would be to make it.

SVG Attic: Happy Easter Card with Angeline #svgattic #scrappyscrappy #happyeaster #easter #card #cardmaking #papercraft #bifoldcard #watercolor

I cut the "painted" areas using white cardstock and then actually painted it using some watercolors. I couldn't decide on what color the egg would be, so why not a rainbow colored egg? :) I also added some glitter to it to make it even more special.

No Means Ask Grandpa

Hello all! I-team member Sonja here with a fun shadowbox I made for an upcoming arrival of a little baby girl.

The client asked me for something in a shadowbox form with a "no means ask grandpa" saying. After picking out the theme from the SDS Rockabye Baby Cards file, I went to the craft shops with a small plan.

After a trip to Joann's and Michaels, I ended up with a Posh & Pink theme.
To start with this 11 x 14 frame, I needed to make sure the paper was able to adhere to the back. I took the foam padding out and used some 'This to That' strong adhesive tape (that paper is going nowhere for a long long time) to lay the base down.
Then I cut each file out and arranged it to showcase the main baby files from SVG Attic, as well as the little encouraging words from the stack.
The bottle, pins, rocking horse, and baby carriage have pop up tabs on the back of them to give some depth within the shadowbox.
The client was pleased and it was super nice to make something different!

Materials Used:

SDS Rockaby Baby Cards

SDS Rockabye Baby Cards
DCWV 'Posh & Pink'
Recollections 'Spring Dream' Trim Tape

Jolee's Boutique-Gray and Pink Mini Flowers
Jolee's Boutique - Gray Mini Flowers
Silhouette Cameo 3
Silhouette Studio Designer Edition
This and That adhesive tape

Friends with Lisa

Hi, everyone and Happy Friday! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a little Spring gift using the JGW Cottontail Bunny Kit - Bunny Chase Box Tote. This tote is so easy to assemble that I'm thinking of using it for my parent's 50th Anniversary Party for Thank You Gifts filled candy.

That big gorgeous butterfly is from the Easter Elements Collection. I love this collection because the cutouts are easy and can be dressed up by dry embossing and adding some distress ink. I decided it would be fun to use a clock embossing folder on the butterfly hoping to lead everyone to "Springtime".

Feel free to join me on my blog. The Relativity of Paper for all the details on this project.

As always, thanks for joining us!
