Welcome Spring with a Tulip Box

Tracy from the Idea Closet today.  I don't know about you, but I am not a fan of winter.  Here in Utah we have had a pretty mild winter... that is until a couple of weeks ago.
Now my pretty spring flowers are covered with snow and we have been shoveling sidewalks and  putting down Ice Melt by the buckets!!!

I guess its good, but I am ready for some warmer weather.

Today's project for SVG Attic is a great way to bring some of those Spring flowers inside and share with someone special.

I am using the SVG Attic file, Tulip Box.  It can be purchased at Snap Dragon Snippets here.

To give the box card lots of dimension and layers,  use foam pop dots for everything!

The paper is from PhotoPlay's Spring in my Garden collection.
It is so pretty!

I used a couple of the stickers on the tag.  I also tied the tag with some twine and attached it to the box with more foam pop dots.

All the layers and beautiful tulips is what makes this card so pretty.

I hope you will give it a try..
... and enjoy your weather day, regardless of what is happening outside your window.

HTV Onesie with Beth

Good Monday Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with this onesie I personalized with Heat Transfer Vinyl.  I made it as a gift for a co-worker who recently had a baby.
I used the Flower Split Monogram J from SnapDragon Snippets and cut that out in lavender HTV.  Make sure you flip your image before cutting!  I used my heat press to add that to the onesie first.
Next, I used a font called Siena CG and wrote out the baby's name.  I flipped it in my software and cut it out of purple HTV.  I once again heat pressed it to the onesie.  I think it turned out sweet!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Lemonades ~ with Cyndy G

Hello, today I am sharing a project using files from Snapdragon Snippets.  Box 3d Window Icing Accents.  This is a very simple little box that is perfect for some cookies or some other small trinket.  I sized mine just a little smaller so that I could cut it out of one sheet of paper.

Small box

I used Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian for this project.  The chipboard cut out fit the lid perfectly.
I tied it off with a piece of crinkle ribbon from my stash.

Small box with lemon cookies on a plate

The whole thing makes a sweet little gift to let someone know you are thinking about them.

Thank you for stopping by.

Steampunk 'Once upon a Time' book

Hello all! I-team member Sonja here with my newest project. A few weeks ago, I made a Steampunk Top Hat that I posted to my own personal blog, Sugar Bean Cards. I had some left over supplies and decided I needed to do a matching book!

I decided the Love Stories 3d book file would be perfect to accomplish my goal. Once I had my file picked out, I grabbed some Tim Holtz trinkets, his Lost and Found stack, and (3) sheets of Bazzill's Milkshake cardstock to get started.
With the Walnut Stain, I threw some ink around the books edges to distress it a bit.

Next, I grabbed a Darice clock embossing folder and my Sizzix Big Shot to emboss the top layer to my book.

Then I put it all together with my fingers crossed that it would turn out somewhat decent!

On the background paper, I took it outside and burned the edges. My husband asked me what in the world I was doing outside (it's freezing here). I told him burning paper. He just looked at me like I was crazy, shook his head, and mumbled something about he should've guessed that that was what I was doing. Well come on now honey, I really should never be left unsupervised.

I love the spine on these book files.
For the paper gears, I cut them on white cardstock and then used some distress spray to get the colors on them.

Springtime Love

Hello and a very happy Sunday to you.

Do you feel it too? Spring is on the way! The days are getting longer, the light is returning with all the little flowers....the snow is melting away (if you had any....don't get me started) Yup the signs are all there....even if it might take some time yet to call it Spring.

Well that doesn't mean that you can't have Spring inside the house. And in my home, I have started decorating for Spring. That is way I needed to make this adorable Candle Heart Cutout 3D Boxes from SnapDragon Snippets.

I used AC Cardstock in White along with patterned paper from Maja Design "Celebration" Then I tied some hemp cord around it and decorated with some Prima flowers from my stash and a little 3D butterfly sticker I also found hiding in my craft supplies.

It may not look like it, but it was totally easy to make and assemble - even if you are new to paper crafting and Jodi, who designed this, has a great tutorial for you to follow. It's so versatile - can be used for Mothers Day, Valentines Day, Birthdays, Weddings etc.

Well I'm off to unpacking after a 3 day trip to Amsterdam with my family - a fun but very busy little trip.

Thanks for joining me today

Small Candle Totes

Happy Friday, everyone! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper taking over the blog today and sharing this Totes Leaves for Small Candle Holder with a twist. Instead of using it for Fall Gift Giving I'm using it for a fun Birthday Gift.

This is the perfect gift for Teachers, Co-workers, or neighbors. I'm thinking about creating a few to have on hand.

I used 12 x 12 papers from Anna Griffin's Antique Toile Paper Pad from my stash.

I stamped the birthday sentiment and flower on the tag.  You can find the Candle Holder and Bow from the Witch Hat Bow Rocker Card at SnapDragon Snippets and the Silhouette Store.

As always, thanks for joining us today!

Hexagon Box with Vintage Key

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
Tracy, from  Idea Closet, here and today I have created this Hexagon Box with Vintage Key.  It is perfect for sharing a Valentine gift with someone special.
It can also hold a special keepsake just for you.

The box is made using the Box Hex Med with Lid file that can be found here.
There is also a link to the assembly tutorial that is easy to follow.

The Key and Key Hole are also found at either Snap Dragon Snippets or in the Silhouette store.

I love all the layers that make up the key and key hole.
They add the perfect finishing touch.

The lid was designed to use with Graphic 45 Chipboard embellishments, but it can also be  cut  from the printed paper.

The handle is a wood knob painted black.

This is a fun project, perfect for Valentine's day or any other day.
I hope you will give it a try.

Key to my Heart Card with Beth

Good Monday Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today with this non-traditionally colored Valentine's Day card.
I used SnapDragon Snippets svg files including Heart Doily Key Ornament, and Doily Loopy.  I sized them to fit on the front of an A2 card.  The papers I used are from Fancy Pants' Country Boutique 6x6 paper pad and I embellished with Krazy For Kraft Trendy Twine and GMD Sophisticated enamel dots.  The sentiment stamp is from Victorine Originals.  Adhesives used include ATG, foam tape, and Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle.  For more details, stop by my blog.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Winter Kisses

Thanks for joining me today :-) Just wanna show a little something I made inspired by all the love floating around these days and yet I want to keep it un-Valentined :-D

The other day I went shopping on a Danish webshop that sells American candies among other stuff and I found some Hersheys Kisses. That made me think of the Chocolate Kiss 3D Box from SnapDragon Snippets and voila!

This baby is so incredible easy to make! I used some grey pearl cardstock and AC Cardstock in Chocolate to make the box and made and added on some panels in silver foiled paper, that I embossed with a crackled pattern. Then I made the tag with the print and cut function on my Silhouette Cameo along with the small cute winter images that I clued onto the chocolate. I found these in the Silhouette Design Store id #70871 and #70219.

Just the thing for a winter-lover like me.

Now I need to hide the rest of the kisses, cause my eldest son has now developed a taste for them.

Have an awesome weekend - hope you get a lot of crafting done.

Sweet Lambs ~ with Cyndy G

Well I'm back after a long deserved break.  It was very nice to be able to take some time to relax with family and not worry about deadlines of any kind but now it's time to get back to work!  Today I have a cute project using two darling files from Snapdragon Snippets - Lamb shaped card and Lamb or Sheep box.

I used AC Cardstock on both projects and a little bit of
Trendy Twine - Watermelon Taffy - one of my favorites - to give my box a finishing touch.

Both files are very easy to assemble.  It is a project you could do with young children.  The box would make a cute teacher gift for Easter or you could quickly make a bunch for your Sunday school class.

Thank you for stopping by today.
