Leprechaun Hats

I don't know about you but I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that not only is it March, but that March is half over!

What???

Anyway, Tracy here and today is my turn to post on the blog. To help celebrate St. Patrick's day this week I decided to make some fun gifts.

I love these little hats and they are perfect for sharing a little treat.

The file is from the JGW Top O the Morning kit

Jodi has easy to follow instructions here.

I created two different sizes of hats.  The dark green is the hat just as Jodi created the file.

To make a slightly bigger hat, increase the size by 125%.  At this size it still fits on a 12 x 12 mat but the hat is a little bigger.

To give the hats a finishing touch, add some twine around the hat band. 

I am so excited with how these turned out and I can't wait to give them away.

Apple Core Treat Holder with Beth

Good morning crafty friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.   It is back to school time here and I always like to give my boys a treat on their first day of school, which happens to be tomorrow, and this is what I went with this year.

I knew I had to make a sweet apple core treat holder.  I have always loved that file!  It comes from SVG Attic's G is for Gratitude set.

For the treats, I started off with Medium Candy Bags that fit Hershey's Nuggets perfectly!  I wrapped the candies with patterned cardstock and added the topper.

The toppers use the chalkboard and apple files from SVG Attic's Back to School set.  They are sized to be 2" across to match the width of the candy bag.  I finished them off with a bow of Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine.  All the patterned papers in this project are from DCWV's Grade School stack.

Quick and Easy Easter Centerpiece with Lisa

Welcome, everyone! Lisa from In The Crafting Cave with you today. Sharing a quick and easy 

Easter centerpiece using Carrot Treat Boxes from the  SDS Hop To It Collection. 

If you're in a hurry these carrots are a must. You could use three of these 

lined down the center of your table and/or buffet for Easter. And the carrots

are treat boxes so you're getting two uses out of one centerpiece. Who doesn't love that?

To make these I simply used orange and green 12 x 12 cardstock, 6 x 6 patterned 

papers, Trendy Twine - Limeade. Seriously, it couldn't be any easier. 

TIP:

I keep several glass vases in my house, if I need them I have them and I keep them out year round as decor on shelves instead of finding somewhere to store them.  Leave them empty or use them for ribbons, small picture frames, I've even showcased beautiful cards I've received from crafty friends in them. The possibilities are endless.
