Spell Bound

Hello and happy first Sunday in October

My all time favorite Holiday is creeping in slowly and I’m getting less and less time to make spooky decor…..Oh the horror!!!

Luckily there is still time and today I want to show you the latest creepy project: The Book of Spells from the JGW Steampunk Hex Kit from SVG Attic:

For this awesome “book” I used AC Cardstock in Black, Plum, Olive and Sand along with patterned paper from Basic Grey – Eerie.

I distressed the edges of the book along with the front panel. I also cut four of each corner, glued them together and applied gold foil.

I used the skulls from the Mourner’s hat from the JGW Raven Quest Kit also from SVG Attic and added some small black gems as eyes.

I made a small hole and placed a brad to function as a lock on the closure tab. Finally I added a small metal key in a chain to the upper right corner decoration and added some black crushed glas glitter to the pentagram.

This book is originally supposed to function as a gift card holder, but I figured I use it as a hidden candy stasher.

That way I get to get my share of the goodies before they’re all gone ;-)

Thanks for visiting today and please remember to leave me a small comment on your way out <3

Worlds Best Dad with Lisa

Happy Friday everyone and welcome. Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a quick and simple gift card box. Wednesday was my Dad's birthday and I needed a quick gift card box that would hold not only a gift card but a few miniature Snickers underneath. Of course, JGW GONE FISHING KIT from SVG Attic has a great gift card box included. It was the perfect size for my gift card and eight miniature Snickers fit perfectly under the insert.

To create this box I used my Silhouette Cameo and Photoplay's Family Ties. This box and those papers were meant to meet! That's all I can say. I didn't add the accent pieces to the sides of the box top because the paper is woodgrain and I love the way it looked. I did add the top accent piece using fun foam to add some dimension, wrapping the twine around the top accent and then adhering it to the box lid. Easy, peasy!

As always, thanks for joining us!

Last Minute Gifts with Lisa

Hi, and welcome, everyone. Lisa from The Relativity of Paper wishing you a Very Merry Christmas.
Here we are two days before Christmas, and without fail, the last minute gift happens. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. You get a call from a relative and so-so is bringing their better half to your house, Christmas Eve. Do you say "Oh, Well, better luck next year" or fight the crowds to find a quick gift? Personally, I run for the stash of gift cards I keep, grab one, break out the Silhouette Cameo and make one of these adorable, easy gift card holders from the JGW Ho Ho Holiday Collection at SVG Attic. Seriously, they think you put a lot of effort into it. They leave the house saying "Oh my gosh, that was so sweet of her to give me a gift card and she made the holder!" And I secretly high-five myself for being crafty and pulling off another last minute gift.

The "present" gift card holder can be used for Birthdays, Weddings, New Baby, and so much more.

You can always change the papers and use the candy gift card holder for boys or girls birthdays.

I always say use your SVG files for any and everything!

I used 12 x 12 paper in white and kraft along with patterned paper from DCWV Merry Memories Stack.

Pet Gifts with Lisa

Hi and welcome, everyone. Lisa from In the Crafting Cave bringing you a few ways to present Pet gifts. I think often times we forget that some people consider their pets to be their children, especially, couples who can't have children. And how sad that we don't acknowledge their fur babies. I was one of those people, and I say let's give "Pet Parents" and their babies some love, too! So here are a few ideas next time you want to give a Pet gift.

With just a few SVG Attic Files you will be passing out these cute Pet gifts yourself.

I created the Fire Hydrant Treat Box using the JGW Little Fire Chief Kit, the gift card holder using the SVGA Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes, and the card using the paw print from SVGA Jack's Tracks.
One of the best things about all the Kits listed, they can be used for multiple projects. The Little Fire Chief Kit makes for an awesome birthday party or load that fire hydrant up with homemade cookies for your local fire department. Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes can be used for any occasion just by changing papers. Jack's Tracks actually has a few items that can be used for multiple purposes, too

.
We all know people who love pets. Here's a fun way to tell them how awesome they are!

Gift cards are great for new pet owners!

My sweet girl had her own cookie jar that was a red fire hydrant, inspiration comes from all around us.

Such a fun way to give a Pet gift!

As always, thanks for joining us and we hope you have a fantastic weekend
Join me over on blog, In the Crafting Cave, and I will have a list of pet related papers and embellishments to help you create your Pet gifts.

Set Sail with Lisa

Hi and welcome, everyone! Lisa from In The Crafting Cave sharing with you today. With Mother's Day and Summer upon us, I wanted to share a fun take on the JGW Fashionably French High Heel Shoe and Purse Gift Card Holder.  Every girl needs a great pair of shoes and handbag to set sail, right?

DCWV Seaside Yacht 12 x 12 Paper Pad
I just love the navy and cream floral pattern for this high heel, so couture!

Using the blue and cream polka dot paper in the shoe and purse pulls this set together.

So using DCWV Seaside Yacht 12 x 12 Paper Pad, Cream Cardstock, adhesive, and silver brads these items are super easy to make. And the great thing about them you can use any papers you have to create your very own Couture Fashion Line.

You can find all the details on my blog, In The Crafting Cave.

As always, thanks for joining us and
have a great weekend!
