Rocking Birthday

This project has been on my to-do list ever since the CG Fabulous 50s set came out! Hello all, Sonja with the I-team here. Today I bring you a retro rocking birthday set I made for a family members birthday.
CG Fabulous 50s
During the cutting process, I decided to give the records a little flair. To do this, I added extra internal circles for each record and then used my eraser tool to take out the excess rings to shape the highlights of the records. *Silhouette studios and pen attachment tool used*
I used a silver gel pen, knowing I was risking it smearing in the process. However, I didn't want the lines to be just perfect so the smear was fine with me!
For the face of the jukebox, I added some pop up tape behind the extra elements on the front to bring more depth.
The finished set turned out better than I thought!

This little jukebox is the cutest
The bottom comes out as a box to hide goodies or money in!
The jukebox card is just as cute
The jukebox card is just as cute
Box the box and the box card are super easy to make and take hardly anytime at all.

Materials Used:
DCWV 'Flower Shop' stack
SVG Attic 'CG Fabulous 50s' set

Silhouette Studio-designers edition

Scotch ATG tape

Sweet, Sweet Summertime with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a few summer time gift ideas. Using the Basic Gift Bags,  JGW All About Daddy and JGW Motherly Moments Collections I created a gift card box, a card, and gift bag that can be used throughout the Summer.  I used a few elements from the Backyard Barbecue, too.

The gift card box is the same one I used in my last post and I'll say it again, EASY PEASY!
The grill is meant to be on the apron but I thought it would look cute on the box to cover the gift card. And the chef's hat was too fun not to use. I used my mini scoreboard to add score marks and a round die-cut for a few puffs on the top.

The bag is another quick go to when you need something in a hurry! It cuts in one piece and is so easy to, just fold and glue.

The patterned paper is Doodlebug Designs Inc. Patriotic Picnic.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Graduation Box Card with Roses.

Are you still looking for a  nice graduation card?
Tracy here from the Idea Closet and I have the answer.

Today is my turn on  SVG Attic and I made a Box Card combining shapes from two different files.

Start by using the Grad Box Card from the SDS Grad Party collection
SDS Grad Party

The file has three years to choose from including 2017.  There are also lots of extra pieces you can add to your project.

I chose not to use the balloons because I wanted to make my card a little more elegant.

I replaced the balloons with some of the roses from the
JGW Flower Box card Bouquet Collection

JGW Flower Boxcard Bouquets

The Roses fit perfectly in the Graduation box without resizing.
I used tab 2 (4 roses) for the back,  and two of tab 1. (numbers are on the pieces)

Next, use Foam Pop Dots to add the flowers to the back of the different tabs and fill in the box.

To finish use gold card stock for the sign and bow on the diploma and gold foil vinyl to add the numbers and the word congratulations.

The best part of these card boxes is they fold up for mailing.
Perfect for those who are celebrating away from you.

Now it's your turn!

Coconut Drink Card with Beth

Happy Monday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  My boys got out of school for summer vacation last week.  Let me tell you, it is great times for them and I am also thankful to not have to get up so early to get them ready for school.  So, my card for today is a summer vacation themed card :)
I used the coconut card file from SVG Attic's JGW Tropical Haven set and used papers from DCWV's Watercolor and Neutrals Cardstock stacks to create it.
The coconut drink is popped up with scotch foam tape for extra dimension and I simply had to add the little flowers as a finishing touch.
Are your kids out of school yet?  What are your summer plans?

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Toes in the Sand...

I gotta say there's nowhere better than on a warm beach in the sun with my toes in the sand and a drink in hand. So when the question came up, what is my favorite vacation spot? I had to dig out the pictures of our trip to Maui.
Hello all! I-team Sonja here with a vacation inspired themed project to help us get out of the rainy Spring season!

For this project, I used two SVG Attic file sets, the JGW Tropical Haven and JGW Tiki Luau Kit.
Now we have been to the Oregon and Washington coast several times. However, there is just something magical about the warm waters and soft sands of Hawaii.
The pop up box card pulls all my favorites together. Flip flops, sunshine, a drink, and all the wonderful colors of a vacation.
I did change out the greeting on the card to a 'Happy Birthday' one.
Fruit, the lei and pineapple reminded me of a Luau we attended.
The flip flop album could've been useful for journaling on our trip. Guess we will have to make another trip back so I can use this one!
Flip flops have to be my favorite foot wear. I even wear them during the frosty, ice, snow filled winters.
Materials Used:
DCWV 'Flower Shop' double sided stack
SVG Attic JGW Tropical Haven and JGW Tiki Luau Kit files
Silhouette Cameo 3
Silhouette Studios Designer edition
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
Scothc ATG gun

Flowers Easel Card with Angeline

Hi scrappy friends :)
Angeline here to share with you an easel card I made using the JGW Sunflower Sunshine kit.

I kinda changed the flowers up a bit, but doing only 1 layer and then coating it with Nuvo crystal drops and adding a glitter button to it's centre. I also drew some lines and dots with my Gelly roll pens and added some bling to the leaves.

I then added an extra piece of patterned paper (2 layers of it) to back of the flowers to provide additional support since my buttons were pretty heavy :) I also added some grass die cuts to the front of the flower pot for some extra dimension.

Mother's Day Card and Tag

Tracy from the Idea closet here again.  Today is my turn to share on SVG Attic's Blog and with Mother's Day this week, I thought it would be a good time to make a card from my new favorite kit from SVG Attic and Jodi.
The only problem was I couldn't decide which one I wanted to make so I made two!

I had some paper from My Minds Eye that was waiting for the perfect project and these cards were definitely it.

I love the little bits of gold in the paper and decided to use it as one of my main colors.

To make the tag I  used a rounded 3x4 journal card from the paper collection.
Next I drew a small mat for the card by drawing a rounded rectangle and sizing it to 3.125"x4.125" and cut it from a metallic gold card stock.
Add brads from the collection and finish it off with a big gold ribbon.
Because the journal card runs horizontal, I turned the tag to the side as well.

I can't wait to add this to a gift!

The Mother's Day step card has lots of pretty layers.
The file comes with a print and cut option for the words in the tag and lots of extra pieces as well.

To create the word Hello and the ribbon pieces on the side. cut them from Cricut's Gold Foil Vinyl.
Add more brads from the paper collection and you will have a beautiful card.

If you haven't had a chance, check out the Mother's Moments Kit from Jodi at SVG Attic.
I love everything about it and think I am going to make the Secretary box next!

Sunflower Shaker Card with Beth

Hello all!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I created a shaker version of the sunflower sunny day card in the new JGW Sunflower Sunshine set at SVG Attic.
Since the layers of the sunflower are built up with circle of cardstock inbetween, it is the perfect place to create a shaker!  I added acetate over the circle opening of the card front using scor-tape to form the back of the shaker.  For the front of the shaker, I traced around the outside of the dk. brown circle on acetate and simply cut it out by hand.  I glued it underneath the dk. brown circle and built up all the other layers of the flower.  It formed a perfect well to add sequins to!
Here is a closer look at the shaker!  The patterned papers I used are from MME Sunshine 6x6 pad.  I embellished the flower with some Bumblebee Trendy Twine.
The little bee on the card is such a fun accent!
Here is what the card looks like when it is opened up.  I will be using this card for a Mother's Day card!
Here is a look at the entire JGW Sunflower Sunshine set:
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
