Trio Birthday Cards with Beth

Hello my crafty friends!  Happy Monday.  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with these three trio cards.
I really love this side profile sunflower trio card that is part of the JGW Sunflower Sunshine kit.  I used papers from Fancy Pants' Time for Spring 6x6 paper pad and wrapped Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine around it.
The other two cards are for nephews of mine.  The patterned papers on both are from DCWV's Boyhood stack.  The rocket trio card is from SVG Outta This World kit.  I embellished with Rainbow Glossy Dots and stamped a sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps' Super Sentiments stamp set.
The final card is the Baseball Bat Trio Card file and is embellished with Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine and the stamps I used are from Pink and Main's Birthday Wishes stamp set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Bewitched Cake Stand

Hello (waving enthusiastically) … just sneaking in today to show you a very fun project I've been working on this last week.

I got the idea from a friend who showed me this picture:

First I thought "corny" but then I kept thinking about it and wondering if it could be made in paper. And....yeah it could!

Roaming through files I found that SVG Attic had the right files for it, so I started building.

I wanted mine to be a Halloween inspired Cake Stand and I gathered the files I needed for this: The 3D Witches Boot from the JGW Bewitched Botique kit, the Sunflower 3D Cake Stand from the JGW Sunflower Sunshine kit and the Cats & Pumpkins Hollow Centers Wreath

I also made the Mini-Candy Cauldron also from the JGW Bewitched Botique kit to sit on top of the stand - I would have liked a cupcake but just didn't feel like baking.

This is how it turned out:

It's made from AC Cardstock in Leaf, Black, Melon, Grape, Carrot and Charcoal along with some Purple Pearl Paper, Gold Foiled Cardstock and patterned paper from Doodlebug's Collections "Boos and Brews" and "Booville"

I used the stem part from the Cake Stand to make the legs (just made it a bit longer) and added some glitter tape onto for striped socks. Inside the legs are two 3/4" dowels for support.

The top part of the cake stand is reinforced underneath with 4 platform shaped pieces and the legs are glued unto it with hot glue. I chose to use the Cat and Pumpkin Wreath to place on the top for a fun decoration.

The boots are downsized by 50% to fit the size of the Stand and the legs are glued into them also with hot glue. I added some glas stones into the boots for weight so the whole stand gets more sturdy.

I used twine, various Doodlebug sprinkles and the small patches etc. that comes along with the boots.

For the Cauldron I used gold foiled cardstock for the handle and chose to use the spider tag on which I doodled two small eyes and added a black gem.

Actually it's a pretty easy projects when you think about it - it's all about getting that idea. Thank you Sandy for providing me with it.

Thanks for joining me today - I really hope you like this wacky project. A fun centerpiece on the Halloween table or as decor in the living room….endless possibilities.

August Sunflowers

August - the last month of Summer and time for the lovely Sunflowers to follow the sun all day. Such an amazing flower a Sunflower is. Not only is it beyond beautiful but it also provides us with food. Mmmmm Sunflower seeds.

August equals Sunflowers to me and that's why I chose to make two small Sunflower projects to show you today.

The first is the Sunflower Hidden Giftcard card from the JGW Sunflower Sunshine kit:

I made it from AC Cardstock in Mustard, Apricot, Spinach and Moss along with patterned paper from Graphic 45's Time to Flourish Collection.

I embossed the leaf with a embossing folder from Cuttlebug, inked all the edges with distress ink and tied a small Graphic 45 tag onto the giftcard part of the card.....

…. because you can pull out the hidden tray for the giftcard.

I also made the Sunflower card into a Shaker card by making some rings and gluing them under the top flower along with a piece of acetate. The shaker glitter is among other from Nuvo and Finnabair.

To go with this cute card, I made a small gift box - the Sunflower 3D Hex Box with Bee

This darling little starshaped box, is made from AC Cardstock in Cranberry, Mustard, Chestnut and Apricot and decorated with patterned paper also from the Graphic 45 Time to Flourish Collection.

Instead of making the original flower center, I chose to make a chunky glitter center by gluing all kinds of glitter and tiny glass pearls onto a thick coat of glue. Sorry the picture doesn't do it enough justice because it's really beautiful.

Here are the two projects together:

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you like my two Sunflower projects - please let me know in a comment below.

Sunflower Card and Print and Cut with Tracy

Sunflowers are a sure sign of Fall and right now I am seeing so many projects with them I decided I had to do a couple myself.

Tracy here from the Idea Closet and
for today's project , I decided to do the Sunflower Easel Card.
The file comes from the JGW Sunflower Sunshine Collection
.JGW Sunflower Sunshine

I also wanted to try something different with the files ...

... So next I created a print and cut tag using one of the flowers from the easel card and the tag and words from the sunflower gift card.
It wasn't hard to do if you know how to set up Print then Cut in your machine's software.

So many fun things can happen when you combine and play around with files.

Sunflower Box ~ with Cyndy G.

Hello, today I am sharing a beautiful Sunflower 3D Hex Box from the kit JGW Sunflower Sunshine by SVG Attic.  Everything in this kit is stunning.  I made the box as a gift for a friend of mine.  I know she will love it.

Sunflower Box

The box is surprisingly easy.  You just need some time to put all the petals together.  It was also the first time I have done a rosette.  I had my son help me hold it while I glued it down.

Sunflower Box

I used Graphic 45 - French Country.  It is out right now as a Deluxe Collectors Edition.

Thank you for stopping by.

Moments Captured with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome. Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing this box and a mini album with you. I used the JGW Sunflower Sunshine Kit's Hex Box to create the box and mini album.

I've had this paper in my stash for a very long time and it's been calling my name lately. To get started I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the Hex Box using two different patterns from the Echo Park "Oh, Snap" Kit. I do love paper kits because you usually get the coordinating stickers. And I did a lot of decorating with the stickers. Once I had the box assembled I moved onto the album.
You'll notice the Hex Box has a base "liner" used to reinforce the box. I used that liner to create the pages in my mini album. I even played around with three of the hexagons welding them together and then adding perforated lines and a cut line to create a three-page foldout.

You can find all the details on my blog; The Relativity of Paper.

As always, thanks for joining us!

Flowers Easel Card with Angeline

Hi scrappy friends :)
Angeline here to share with you an easel card I made using the JGW Sunflower Sunshine kit.

I kinda changed the flowers up a bit, but doing only 1 layer and then coating it with Nuvo crystal drops and adding a glitter button to it's centre. I also drew some lines and dots with my Gelly roll pens and added some bling to the leaves.

I then added an extra piece of patterned paper (2 layers of it) to back of the flowers to provide additional support since my buttons were pretty heavy :) I also added some grass die cuts to the front of the flower pot for some extra dimension.

Sunflower Shaker Card with Beth

Hello all!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I created a shaker version of the sunflower sunny day card in the new JGW Sunflower Sunshine set at SVG Attic.
Since the layers of the sunflower are built up with circle of cardstock inbetween, it is the perfect place to create a shaker!  I added acetate over the circle opening of the card front using scor-tape to form the back of the shaker.  For the front of the shaker, I traced around the outside of the dk. brown circle on acetate and simply cut it out by hand.  I glued it underneath the dk. brown circle and built up all the other layers of the flower.  It formed a perfect well to add sequins to!
Here is a closer look at the shaker!  The patterned papers I used are from MME Sunshine 6x6 pad.  I embellished the flower with some Bumblebee Trendy Twine.
The little bee on the card is such a fun accent!
Here is what the card looks like when it is opened up.  I will be using this card for a Mother's Day card!
Here is a look at the entire JGW Sunflower Sunshine set:
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

"Ha-Bee" Mother's Day

Hello all. I-team member Sonja here with Sugar Bean Cards showing you a set of Mother's Day cards from one of the newest SVG Attic sets, JGW Sunflower Sunshine!
 JGW Sunflower Sunshine

This set is such an awesome set, however I only needed two cards from it. Since I have to mail these, I unfortunately didn't do the awesome box (which is my favorite from the set) or the cake stand.

I did however, decide to stray from the traditional sunflower colors and mixed it up a bit.

For the Sunflower Sunny Day card, I mixed it up a bit by making it into a shaker card.
For the bees, instead of putting the wings under the body, I did them on top and made two so that I could embellish with the heart to match the beads and hearts in the shaker portion of the card.
The sentiment couldn't be seen well because of the shaker portion, so I opted for a tag.
One great thing about using double sided cardstock, the inside is already decorated with little effort!
For the next card, I kept it fairly close to the original.
I added more bees to keep with the theme of the sentiment.
The foil paper makes it pop and matches the bee's as well.
Materials Used:
DCWV double sided 'Preserved Paper' stack

SVG Attic 'JGW Sunflower Sunshine'
Tombow Multi liquid glue
Silhouette Cameo 3
