Guest Designer: Migdalia R.

Good day to all my bloggy friends. 

It's Migdalia from Crafting with Creative M and I am super EXCITED to be back as one of December's Guest Designers! Woohoo!!

For my 1st post for December, a Christmas theme of course, I made several Christmas cards and some treats that I will giving to my neighbors. 

Let's begin.......
I used the very festive "Evergreen Stack" from DCWV and the Holly Jolly paper pad from My Mind's Eye. 

For the sparkle, I used glitter gold cardstock from Recollections.

For my festive projects, I used a combination of the SDS Ornament Kit, SDS 3D Tree Trio and the Cozy Christmas Captions from SVG Attic.

This is the Round Ornament Hanging card.

I adhered the "Noel" caption and red glitter dots on each corner of my hanging card.

This is the Snowflake Hanging card.

I adhered the magical "Believe" caption to the center of my hanging card, red glitter dots and candy cane sequins.

This is one of my favorites!!

This is the Drop Ornament Hanging card.

I stamped a Peace on Earth sentiment on a scallop circle, holly berry stickers, red glitter dots and placed green rhinestones to my ornaments.

I had so much fun with this file!!!

For my 3D Pine Tree, I used green embossed cardstock and gold glitter cardstock for my star. The star is from the Trio Tree card file.

With the Cricut Explore "write" feature, I wrote Merry Christmas on a banner and adhered it with glue dots. I am filling my tree with candy.

I absolutely love this card and will be making more.

Isn't it just Beautiful?

I added some bling of course for that extra sparkle!

Now, I immediately feel in love with this adorable tree!!

This is the 3D Holly Tree.

I sparkled my tree with gold glitter cardstock and placed a gold star on the center of my pretty red bow.
I added a red banner with the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Isn't it just Beautiful?

SVG Attic Guest Design Team Call!

Do you like to create with SVG files?  Do you have a blog?  Like to take pictures?  Do tutorials?

We are looking for a creative team of individuals who want to have fun with great designs, network with other crafters, and further build the SVG Attic name as guest designers.

The criteria are as follows:

~Post twice in your assigned month on the SVG Attic blog and your personal blog.

~Be able to take great pictures and add an SVG Attic watermark to your pictures for the blog.

~Share pictures of your projects on the SVG Attic Facebook page and SVG Attic Fanatics group.

~Support the rest of the design team!  

We are looking for various areas of expertise (scrapbooking, 3D paper crafting, cards, etc).  In return you would get the chance to network and build friendships with other designers, build your resume, build your personal blog, and of course free designs to stretch your imagination.  You will also have a chance to work with SVG Attic designers and make suggestions for other fun designs!

SVG Attic Guest Designer - Melissa Miranda

Hey, it is Melissa here from M Miranda Creations and I am excited to be Guest Designing again today for you here on the SVG Attic blog! I hope you are having an awesome Wednesday!!!
 

Well, you might remember that my first post this month was baby themed, and I am still in the baby mood!!! Sssh! I have a baby shower to help plan soon, so it is on my mind!!!

 

For this fun gift box, I used the Cottontail Bunny Kit and the Baby Boy Kit.

 

 

 

I really like to watch little boys when they are fascinated by a plane, train, or automobile. If fact, some cute little plastic transportation toys might be the perfect thing to stuff in this box. It would also be the perfect size for some socks or onesies to give you a few ideas. The finished box is 5" W x 3.5" H x 1.75" L (deep). SVG Attic Guest Designer - Melissa Miranda

Hey SVG Attic Fanatics! I am so excited to be joining you today. This is Melissa from M Miranda Creations and I am today's Guest Designer.

 

I love making cards, so that is what I have for you today. I used files from two different sets - Tent Cards and Baby Boy. Great thing about this card is that it can also be used as a centerpiece on the tables for a baby shower or as a baby announcement (just take off the 'Congrats').

 

 

The card is A2 size (5 1/4" x 4 1/2"). I used Coredinations Teal Stripe and Moonstone cardstocks and Recollections white cardstock. The base of the card is from the Tent Cards collection. Just open the file and follow the instructions on the PDF to get the card to the size you'd like. The onesie, plane, train, and the 'It's a Boy' phrase are all from the Baby Boy collection. The 'Congrats' is a die and does not come with either collection.

 

To make the card, I first assembled my base partially by attaching the bottom piece to the back panel of the card. I then cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 7/8' x 4 3/8" and attached it to the inside on the back panel. I did this to make it sturdier since the Coredinations paper is a lighter weight cardstock and to cover up the seam at the bottom where the bottom panel attached to the back panel. I did not want that seam to show when you look through the window in the front. For the front, I ran the oval insert piece through my Cuttlebug in the Swiss Dots embossing folder and attached it to the inside of the front panel of the card. I then added my wording to my onesie and used foam squares on the edge of the sleeves and at the very bottom of the onesie to pop this piece off the inside front panel. I then added the plane and train with a piece of Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine to the front of the card also using foam squares to add another layer of dimension. Once everything was added I attached the front panel to the bottom panel and was finished.

 

I wish you could see the card in person. The moonstone cardstock for the onesie, plane, and train is a shimmer paper that is just beautiful on this project. I hope you will give this a try and then share your finished piece on the SVG Attic Fanatics FB Group. I'd love to see all the color/paper combos you all could come up with!
