Valentine Heart Treats with Beth

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I wanted to make something for my boys to give to their teachers for the occasion.  The Heart 3D Shaped Mini Candy Box file was perfect!
I used papers from DCWV's Romantic Life stack to create them.  Jodi has a quick tutorial HERE if you have any questions on assembly, but these are very quick to make!
I used 3 sheets of paper, but since the paper is double sided, I was able to use the back side to accent if I desired!
My boys wrote their names on the tags and I tied them on with various colors of Trendy Twine.  I used Tacky Glue to assemble the hearts with a bit of foam tape behind the heart accent with hexagons on it.  I was able to fit 2-5 stick packs of gum in each of these for a little treat for the teachers.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The Love Collection

Hello all. Sonja with Sugar Bean Cards here with my latest project. My husband and I opted out of Valentine's Day this year. But that doesn't mean I couldn't make a few cards! I grabbed the latest Impossible Cards from SnapDragon Snippets store.

Regardless of the name, these cards are just about the easiest card you could ever hope to make, so I made all three.

Once all my pieces were cut out, I ran them through my Xyron Creative Station® to get adhesive to the entire back of my cuts.
I wanted to add glitter to the angel wings, so I flipped them upside down before running them through the Xyron Creative Station®.
All of my components aside from the card base had adhesive applied to the back in one swoop.
Next I assembled the pieces on the backing
With the wings, I simply grabbed some glitter and shook away.

Once all the cards were assembled, I added some bling

Shaped Rose Card

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I am starting on my Valentine's Day cards with this project.  The file I used is called Fancy Rose Stem Shaped Card from the Pushing Petals kit.  You can find a tutorial for the assembly HERE.
I kept the file the original size and cut it out of papers from The Paper Studio's Country Road paper pad for the flower and solid cardstock for the rest of the cuts.  I added Glitter Pink Pearl Pen dots on the flower and inked all the cuts with brown chalk ink.
I used the included "love you" sentiment, but there are several other banner sentiments to choose from on the SVG Attic website including "sweetheart", "God bless", "valentine", and "get well".  I wrapped some Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine around the stem and tied it in a bow for a little more sweetness.
The bud area opens on the back side to reveal an area for writing a note.  It is such a sweet card!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Love

Hi and welcome, everyone!

Today I have another Valentine's Day card to share with you. I meant what I said in my last post about getting out in front of it. I'm Frankie Hecking it! I used the Cupid Hearts Teepee card. Don't be fooled, this card is super easy to make. I was very pleasantly surprised by the ease of it.

To create the teepee card I started with Kraft and Red Coverstock to cut the base and accent elements.  I used white cardstock to cut the banner and the heart accent behind Cupid. I ran the red accents pieces through my BigKick in a heart embossing folder.

I inked the accents pieces so the embossing would stand out a bit more. I added gold gilding flakes to the heart accent piece and inked the bare spots with pink ink.

It's just a matter of assembling the card and adding final touches. I used 3D mounting foam behind Cupid, heart accent, and the scalloped round accent piece. Yep, it's that easy.

Sweetest Cottage Gift Box and Card

Hi and welcome, everyone!

Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing my first Valentine's Day projects of 2019.
I decided to get out in front of it this year. Christmas just flew by and I didn't get to enjoy all the wonderful things that Christmas brings, so much to do, so little time to do it. That's changing this year and if it means me working months in advance then so be it.

My first Valentine's Day gift is super simple to create using the Cottage Ribbon-Tied 3D Gift Box. I used Kraft coverstock to cut the bottom and sides. Quick dry adhesive and few binder clips keep me working while this dries. Red coverstock to cut the top, using a heart embossing folder to add interest to that red coverstock. I swiped a Distress Ink Pad - Barn Door over the embossed hearts so they stand out a little more.  I'm using Trendy Twine Chevron Ribbon, love this ribbon, to tie the box closed.
Using Doodlebug Valentine's paper, from years ago, I cut the heart-shaped accents and glue to the box with a quick dry adhesive.  To hold that pretty ribbon in place I used Trendy Twine Totally Red and Cherry Latte Baker's Twine. I used the negative from the heart-shaped accent pieces like charms.

I decided to create a card to go with the gift. Using the Valentine's Scrap Panel A7 card from the JGW Heartfelt Delivery Kit.  Using the same Kraft and Red coverstock as the box I cut the pieces for the card. I embossed the red coverstock panels with the same embossing folder and inked it with Distress Ink - Barn Door, too. Using a white gel pen I added dots to each heart on the card and box. I decided to bring the FEB 14 to life with white accents, too. To finish it off I attached sequins using glossy accents.

Honestly, I felt a sense of relief as I finished my first Valentine's Day gift of 2019.

Hexagon Box with Vintage Key

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
Tracy, from  Idea Closet, here and today I have created this Hexagon Box with Vintage Key.  It is perfect for sharing a Valentine gift with someone special.
It can also hold a special keepsake just for you.

The box is made using the Box Hex Med with Lid file that can be found here.
There is also a link to the assembly tutorial that is easy to follow.

The Key and Key Hole are also found at either Snap Dragon Snippets or in the Silhouette store.

I love all the layers that make up the key and key hole.
They add the perfect finishing touch.

The lid was designed to use with Graphic 45 Chipboard embellishments, but it can also be  cut  from the printed paper.

The handle is a wood knob painted black.

This is a fun project, perfect for Valentine's day or any other day.
I hope you will give it a try.

Key to my Heart Card with Beth

Good Monday Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today with this non-traditionally colored Valentine's Day card.
I used SnapDragon Snippets svg files including Heart Doily Key Ornament, and Doily Loopy.  I sized them to fit on the front of an A2 card.  The papers I used are from Fancy Pants' Country Boutique 6x6 paper pad and I embellished with Krazy For Kraft Trendy Twine and GMD Sophisticated enamel dots.  The sentiment stamp is from Victorine Originals.  Adhesives used include ATG, foam tape, and Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle.  For more details, stop by my blog.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

My Punny Valentine

Happy Sunday and YAY! - We almost made it through January (for me one of the longest months of the year)
Today I want to share with you a little something I brewed together last night. Just something that hopped into my head as I was trying to find new projects to make.
As I've said before - I'm soooo not into Valentines Day. And I still ain't but......I just couldn't help myself on this little fellow

The 3D To-Go-Coffee Cup is from SDS Coffee Break.

I made it from AC Cardstock in White and Chestnut and decorated it with a sleeve I made from Doodlebug Design Paper Cream & Sugar.

I also decorated the cup with some hearts - one is the Heart Zipper Ornament from SnapDragon Snippets that I made from AC Cardstock in Latte and decorated with Doodlebug Design Paper also from Cream & Sugar and used some grey and black shiny paper from the zipper. I just left out the back piece with the hole for hanging.

The other heart is just a duplicate of the Latte heart from above, where I wrote the sentiment with a Silhouette Sketch Pen in brown.

Now to hide it from that special someone who is going to receive this on Feb. 14th., because I love him as much as I do coffee LOL.

Thanks for joining me today and Happy Valentines Day to all of you who celebrate this day.

Valentine Treat Boxes with Beth

Hello crafty friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  Every year I create treat boxes for my boys' teachers and this year is no different!  I went with two different box styles this year.
This first box can be hung on a door, but I think it works just as well as a cute handle :)  It is a file from the Heart Shaped Boxes set.
This second box is also from the Heart Shaped Boxes set!  I didn't want the heart cutout from the first box to go to waste, so I popped it up with foam tape on the front of this one.  I kept both of the boxes simple, by just adding bows of white crinkle ribbon.
And here is the set that these files came from:

Sending Owl My Love with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a fun way to use Give A Hoot SVG Collection and Tent Cards SVG Collection. This is a great project to get the kids involved, and it comes together quickly.

I started by picking fun patterned papers for Valentine's Day, but you could make these for any occasion.
Once I decided on the papers I used white 12 x 12 cardstock to cut the Tent Card, Kraft cardstock to cut the limb, red cardstock for Owl along with the patterned papers.

To create the branch simply take one of the tree trunks from the Give A Hoot Trees and turn it to create your branch. I did a little woodgrain embossing on mine. To create the hearts I used the heart tree and size the hearts down.

You can use a goodie bag or Project Life Pouch to hold your goodies. Layer the Owl and finish off with googly eyes! Easy-peasy, right?

SVG Attic LOVE Cards with Beth

Valentine's Day is coming fast!  Have you started on your Valentine's cards and treats?  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with these two very different LOVE cards.
This card is made from the Be Mine set at SVG Attic.  I used DCWV Jet Black and Holiday Glitzy Glitter stacks.
Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine, Nuvo crystal drops in white, and a key were perfect embellishments.
The second card is more of a sweet love card.  It is from the SDS Blooming Love kit.  I used DCWV's Happy Day stack for all the layers.
Totally White Trendy Twine, glossy accents and Nuvo crystal drops in white were used to embellish this card.  I popped up the word with foam tape for extra dimension.

Here is a look at the sets I used today:

Blooming Love

Hi and welcome, everyone! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a fun Valentine's Day Project. I decided to get a head start on my Valentine's Day projects by using the SDS Blooming Love Collection and creating the Blooming Love Flower Pot and Heart Flower. Instead of adding the leaves I went with a bow.

I created the bow using Valentine's Day paper from my stash, the heart and pot are pink and gray cardstock.

As always, thanks for joining us!
