Fall Birdhouse

Tracy here, sharing my latest project.
Fall is on its way and for this project I combined two files to create a Fall Birdhouse.

The house is made using the Birdhouse 3D Gable Box.

The large house measures almost 8" tall and is pretty sturdy. It is such a fun project all on its own.
But...

I wanted to add some sunflowers to the front of the house so I used the flowers from

This was such a fun little project, be sure to check out all of the SVG Files available at
Thank you for joining me today.

Trick or Tweet

Tracy here and I just finished my first project for the SVG Attic Guest Design Team.
I am so excited to share it with you.

How about some haunted (but not to scary) bird houses?

This project was created using the
by Snapdragon Snippets.

SDS Home Tweet Home

Besides the 3D bird and the card there are 3 really fun birdhouses.

This first house is 3 stories high and has diamond windows. The little perches are easy to do, just roll up the square real tight and glue it in place.

The second house is two stories high and has circular windows.  I tied the top with orange organdy ribbon.

The third house has a fun heart shaped window and measures about 3 inches.Perfect for a little tweet.

For all three of the bird houses I used a piece of clear transparency plastic placed behind the opening.
You can of course leave the openings as they are- open, but by placing the transparency inside, the house can now be used as a box for treats or even a lantern for a small battery operated t-light.

To finish everything off, slightly curled the roof pieces with a pencil so they will stick up just a bit.  Then tie the boxes closed with either black tulle or the organdy ribbon.

What a fun project, I hope you will try it.
AND right now all SVG Attic Files are on sale so don't miss out!

Welcome Spring Collection with Lisa

Lisa from The Crafting Cave sharing a "Happy Mother's Day" set I made using
This collection is so versatile, I fell in love with it.

I used DCWV The Preppy Princess Stack for all the projects listed.
I'm planning on using the Birdhouse to hold a cupcake. I have plastic container
for cupcakes that fits perfectly inside. I cut everything out and then assembled. Of course,
that's when my wheels start turning. The lattice around the bottom actually goes with the birdcage file and the bird is from the card file. I added a little moss, the flowers, and punched the birds around the top. I dabbed gold ink randomly on the birdhouse.

As I worked on the birdhouse my brain was in overdrive. (I'm dangerous if I sit still too long!)
The watering can was next and I knew I would want to use it for fresh flowers. (I'm thinking I can
use a clear cup to hold the flowers.) The file uses a very pretty flower on the sides of the watering can but I wanted to cover it butterflies since I'm using fresh flowers in it. Well, hello, perfect! The birdcage has a butterfly that perches on top of it. I just resized the butterfly file and cut multiples.
I inked a few of the butterflies using distress inks and added pearls. I really wanted it to pop though.
So gold and pink glittered butterflies did the trick.

I think the birdcage will make a beautiful centerpiece. Again, I used elements from other files, within this collection, to embellish the birdcage. I added glitter to the bird and let the polka dots on the leaves do the work for me. The flowers are from my stash.

I have some other ideas for this collection. I'm positive I will be using it again!

I hope you have an amazing weekend!
