Visiting Santa

Hello SVG Attic members! Guest Designer Sonja here. Today, I bring you a project using multiple SVG Attic files.

When I started brainstorming for ideas on what I wanted to do, I knew I wanted to use the Santa chair.

After I made the Santa chair, I took a look at my collection of SVG Attic files and I knew I had to do the train.

But wait, you cannot have the Polar Express without a working light!

While making the train, it just came to me. Why not do a scene of what Santa's chair looks like when my children visit him!

So what are the things you would see while visiting Santa?

His boots of course!

And what is Christmas without a tree and gifts below?!

Santa has to check this twice so it is very important that we know where his list is!

Now put it all together and what do you get?

A happy Santa!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my project! I hope you have a very nice Christmas season and enjoy your time with your families!

Harvest Time

The colors, the smells, the chill in the air it all means one thing, harvest time! Hello SVG Attic fanatics! Guest Designer Sonja with Sugar Bean Cards here. I am honored to be a guest designer for such a great organization. I had a lot of fun making this project presented to you today!

Pumpkins, apples, corn, leaves, family gatherings are all the great things to remember what holidays are for! For this project, I used several files to compile one large autumn scene.

Giving thanks is a big association to this time of year! I felt the 'Give Thanks' pilgrims from the Harvest Blessing files was perfect!

This pilgrim hat from SDS Pilgrims Prayer is one to fall (no pun intended) in love with!

A box card full of apples in a barrel from the Harvest Wishes kit is a perfect reminder to get working on those apple pies!

Files used:
JGW Harvest Blessing: Pilgrims
SDS Harvest Feast: Acorns
SDS Pilgrims Prayer: Pilgrim hat
Harvest Wishes: Autumn Barrel Card
JGW Turkey Trot: Medium Acorn on a stick
Silhouette Design store for the following (under Snapdragon Snippets):
3D Bushel
3D Pumpkins
3D Apples

Enjoy your fall and family all and thank you for stopping by!

Trick or Tweet

Tracy here and I just finished my first project for the SVG Attic Guest Design Team.
I am so excited to share it with you.

How about some haunted (but not to scary) bird houses?

This project was created using the
by Snapdragon Snippets.

SDS Home Tweet Home

Besides the 3D bird and the card there are 3 really fun birdhouses.

This first house is 3 stories high and has diamond windows. The little perches are easy to do, just roll up the square real tight and glue it in place.

The second house is two stories high and has circular windows.  I tied the top with orange organdy ribbon.

The third house has a fun heart shaped window and measures about 3 inches.Perfect for a little tweet.

For all three of the bird houses I used a piece of clear transparency plastic placed behind the opening.
You can of course leave the openings as they are- open, but by placing the transparency inside, the house can now be used as a box for treats or even a lantern for a small battery operated t-light.

To finish everything off, slightly curled the roof pieces with a pencil so they will stick up just a bit.  Then tie the boxes closed with either black tulle or the organdy ribbon.

What a fun project, I hope you will try it.
AND right now all SVG Attic Files are on sale so don't miss out!

Inspiration Team Member- Melissa Lind

Hello!   I'm Melissa Lind of My Watermelon Moon.  I live in beautiful San Diego, California with my beautiful family.  I am a paper crafting addict who doesn't get enough time to work on it.  I'm sure many of you can relate!  I am the mother of a 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son.  I just celebrated my 15th wedding anniversary with the love of my life who supports my crazy passions.  That's true love!  I like to make cards and scrap book pages, but I LOVE to make the 3D paper crafts.  They are definitely my favorite.  I love to make pretty boxes to put gifts in, they always get the biggest smiles.  In addition to paper crafting, I also love to cook, bake, read and my recent passion has been genealogy.  I am lucky and have two grandmothers with lots of information and stories to tell and I love the thrill of the "hunt" to gather more information about our families roots.

            A little more about me~

Places I have lived: Chicago & San Diego.  Basically really only San Diego, and while I love visiting other places, I never want to leave home!

Style: While I appreciate lots of different styles, I usually gravitate toward clean, simple, elegant designs.  Although I am trying to break that habit and try to expand as an artist.

Favorite Project:  Oh, that's a tough one.  I am so excited about each project, they are all my favorites!

To share today I made the well in the Make a Wish kit at SVG Attic.  I love this paper and I like how the project shows it off so well.  I also really love the wishing well, there is some thing magical about them :).

I really look forward to sharing projects and getting to know all of you and I am so glad to be part of the team!  Thank you for letting me share with you and have a fantastic day!

DT Day with Sandra

Hi everyone it's Sandra here and it's my day to post on the SVG Attic Blog , hope you are having a great St. Patty's Day so far! For today's project I made an Easter Bunny Treat Box holding Whopper Egg candies for my son's Easter basket. I LOVE the way this box is shaped, while I was assembling it a thought came to my mind...... this box would also be perfect to hold cards and envelopes and/or 4x6 photos! This box measures 4x6 inches and I stamped the sentiment and also added a little cotton tail using a Christmas pom pom from Joann's. I cut this box out using my SCAL 3 along with my Cameo.

The set I used here is called EASTER FUN and comes with a bunch of cute 3D Easter items!
