There Was An Old Woman ~ with Courtney

There was an old woman

Who lived in a shoe.

She had so many children,

she didn't know what to do.

She gave them some broth

Without any bread.

She scolded them loudly

And sent them to bed. 

 For my project today I made the old woman's shoe!  

I used the shoe from Bewitched Boutique.  For the roof I used the roof from Home Tweet Home.  And for the windows and door I used some of the elements from Halloween Countdown Tower.

The pieces all went together flawlessly.  And cut just perfectly.

Winter Snow Man BirdHouse ~ with Courtney

Today I have a cute project on the blog.

A Winter Snow Man Birdhouse.

I really love the way it turned out.

I started with the Home Tweet Home set and used the 2 story birdhouse.  I cut it exactly as pictured.  I then cut just the head portion of the Classic Snowman from Build A Snowman and attached him to the front.  I did enlarge the Snowman quite a bit to get the look I wanted.  I copy and pasted the same size birdhouse hole into his hat so it would match up perfectly.  I covered up the one birdhouse hole with the face of the snowman.

I just love the way this birdhouse came out.

Home Tweet Home

Hello, and happy Spring, crafty friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  My husband and I are what you'd call "birders".  We love to watch birds, feed birds, study birds.  We've been known to drive many miles to see a rare bird, and love to add new birds to our life list.  So, when SVG Attic recently released their "Home Tweet Home" set, I knew I HAD to make those adorable birdhouses -- all 3 of them!

I wanted some papers that just spoke "happy".  I thought the "Love Me Do" line from My Mind's Eye did just that, and I used it on all three houses.  Each house has some 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon on it also.
