Shadow Box for a Wedding

Tracy here from the Idea Closet and today is my turn to post for SVG Attic.

My daughter is getting married this weekend and I have been crazy busy working on projects for the Wedding so I decided to share the Shadow Box I created.

This was a fast and easy project. It will be used as part of the decor at the reception and afterwards she can take it home.

To get started, I bought a 12 x 12 Shadow Box found at Micheal's.
They also had some of this grey cardstock with silver foil.
Silver is her accent color so it was perfect.

Place the paper inside the shadow box then closed it up.

Next I used the W Split Monogram from SVG Attic.

Resize the monogram  to fit the shadow box.
Next, add the names and the date in the split area using two different fonts already downloaded to your computer.

Once everything is lined up and the way you want it, cut from vinyl.

Apply the vinyl to the front of the shadow box.

If you are looking for a fast but beautiful gift, try creating your own shadow box.
SVG Attic has 3 different styles of Split Monograms, perfect for whatever project you are working on.

Give it a try.

Vinyled Ceramic Pumpkin with Beth

Good morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Halloween is only a few short days away, so I decided to decorate this ceramic pumpkin for today's post.
The files from SVG Attic that I used on my pumpkin are the "F" Split Monogram (or you can purchase the whole split monogram alphabet HERE) and the swirls are from JGW Raven Quest.
To prepare the ceramic pumpkin, I sprayed it with white matte spray paint.  Then I watered down black acrylic paint and dripped it down the crease lines to make a more grungy look.  Here is a side view.
Yes, even the back is vinyled!  I used orange and black permanent vinyl so it would for sure stick well.
Here is a close up of what I did to decorate the stem.  I painted it black and then wrapped Orange Licorice Trendy Twine around it.  Then I added a bow of burlap ribbon with a button in the center.
Last year I added vinyl to a real pumpkin.  If you want to see that post, click HERE.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Monogrammed Photo Album with Beth

Good morning friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Today I am sharing a photo album that I decorated for a gift.

I used the "M" from SVG Attic's Split Monogram and cut it out from black vinyl.  You can purchase the whole monogram set HERE or the single letters are also available.  The "M" is available HERE.
I used Times New Roman font for the last name.  The pretty papers I used to layer with are from DCWV's Black Currant stack.  The album had an opening in the front to slide this insert into.  It has a layer of plastic in front to protect it as well.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

A Mailbox For Your Wedding Guest Cards

Hello my crafty friends.  For today's post I made this 3D Mailbox from the Love Letters SVG File  Isn't this cute!!  It's the exact replica of a real mailbox.  It's very study and comes with a flag, front and back rims, and handle.

I used these colors because my niece chose them for her wedding and I really loved the combination

I also used the Full Split Monogram File for the letter L for the front of the mailbox as well as the inside.  You can purchase the whole alphabet set, or buy the letters individually.  For the LUCERO I used the free font Typography Times Regular.

Here you can see the mailbox opened with the wedding guest cards inside.
The opening will accept card envelopes up to 5x7 inches

I also added the Mr. and Mrs. cut from the Mr and Mrs. Page Kit
On the flag I stamped "Thank You" on both sides.

Be sure you account for the flag on the side panel when you add your own words, otherwise the flag will obstruct the Mr and Mrs, as in my case, but I also added it to the other side as you can see here:

For the name marquee, I cut out the 2015 using the same free font and added it to both sides as well.

Or you can add "Established" and the "Date" of the wedding.

And finally the back of the mailbox.  Isn't this fun?  It has the same openings as a real mailbox.  I added the a ribbon since the ribbon cannot be added to the front because of the handle.

I used the Spellbinders Mini Blooms and leaves to cut out the flowers and I attached them to the front and back rims.

So there you have it a 3D mailbox that can be used for many occasions - just let your imagination run wild.

This is where you can find the Tutorial for this mailbox.

Until next time; happy craftying!!

Here is the first project for the hop:
June is the month for weddings!  If you are like me, you have been invited to a few.  Everyone loves personalized gifts and it is a bonus if it is handmade.  I created these tiles for two of the weddings I am invited to using the Full Split Monogram Alphabet at SVG Attic.
I made them on two different colors of tiles, this one is more of a tan, but it has some gray in it as well.  You can purchase the split letter "R" by itself here.  I used Times New Roman font for the last name and for the est. date at the bottom of the tile.  For the border, I simply made a 11" square and a 10.5" square in my computer software and the result was a .25" border.
This tile is more of the black/gray family.  The letter "G" is available here as a single file.
