Seeing Stars with Lisa

Thank Goodness It's Friday!
Lisa from The Crafting Cave bringing you a few cards I created

SVG Attic Festive Fourth, Star Card
I love this file because you can use it for more than
the 4th of July. Don't get me wrong, I knocked out four
Independence Day cards in no time but it's nice knowing
you can do more. And talk about double duty, using the star cutouts
and the negative cutout for shaker cards is amazing!

Here are a few of the cards from above. You find them all listed on my
blog, The Crafting Cave, with a full list of supplies.

Combat Boot Card with Beth

Good morning!   I really love the new set that SVG attic has recently released.  It is called My Hero.  Today I am sharing the combat boot card from that set with you.
To make this card, I used several different shades of brown cardstock.  The tag was made with a metallic silver cardstock and it is popped up with thin foam tape.  It is attached with Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine.

Instead of using the laces that were included with the file, I used Totally Kraft Trendy Twine to give the appearance of real shoelaces.  I also inked around the edges of the cuts with brown chalk ink to give extra dimension.
This boot could easily be created to look like a hiking boot or a construction boot.  I can't wait to see all of the different versions of it that will pop up!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

- Ink "Distress Antique Linen" for hair.
- Ink "Distress Festive Berries".
- Ink "Distress Faded Jeans".
- Ink "Distress Mowed Lawn".
- Ink "Distress Frayed Burlap".
- Pencil yellow watercolor.

Then, I added the following flowers:

- Blue Rose (30 mm).
- Cloth yellow flower.
- Argum red.
- Yellow Argum.
- Red Rose ( Kaisercraft)

Stars and Stripes Home Decor with Beth

Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Today is a day that we remember all of those who have fought to give us all the freedoms that we have.  So often we take them for granted.  Today is a great reminder to be thankful for that.  The project I have for you today is very patriotic to honor Memorial Day.
The star is cut from SVG Attic's Uncle Sam's Party kit.  I used The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation paper for it.  I added burlap in the middle of the star.
I went around the top edge of the star with Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine.  Then I added a bow at the top with Totally Kraft and Stars and Stripes Trendy Twines.
The God Bless America and star flourish were cut from SVG Attic's American Eagle Wreath kit.  I added some berry garland at the bottom of the star as well for a little something extra.
This is a view of the stars and stripes along the entire outside of the star.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

We'll Always Have Paris ~ with Cyndy

We'll always have Paris (this line was used in at least seven different movies).  That's what I think when I look at the 3d Eiffel Tower from SDS Paris Voyage.  Summer always makes me dream about traveling to far away places and Paris is definitely on my list of places I want to see.  I had been holding on to a stash of Graphic 45, Come Away With Me ~ waiting for the perfect project and I knew this was it!

3d paper display with travel case, Eiffel tower, train and plane.

The Round Traveling Case from JGW Fashionable French went together so nicely.  It has straight edges that make it easier to put together.  Just take an extra minute to make sure your top strap is facing the right way (I put mine on backwards).  I didn't re-size this box.

Round Travel Case

The 3d Eiffel Tower  is from SDS Paris Voyage, I cut this at the size it imports.  Make sure to take a look at the directions for this one, it is a little tricky.  I love the detail in this file, it is worth the time to put it together.

3d paper Eiffel tower.

The Bi-plane is in the JGW Flight School and is really cute.
It's smaller than I thought it would be, so I didn't have to re-size it.

3d bi-plane

The train is from JGW Christmas Express.  It was too big so I cut it out at 50%.  I left off the Christmas elements and added some squares on the box car to make it look like a passenger car.

3d paper train

I put floral foam blocks in the bottom of the case and covered them with my shredded paper.  I used floral wire with the plane to make it look like it was flying.  I feed it through the tail and then looped it back around  and stuck the end in the foam block.

I just love the way everything turned out!
The Graphic 45 paper fit the project perfectly, I'm glad I still had it.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my project.

Do what inspires you,
Cyndy G.

School Bus Box with Beth

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a project that I created using SVG Attic's Gearing Up 4 School set.
I made the school bus box to give to my boys' bus driver.  He is so awesome with the kids and deserves a treat once in a while :)  The number of their bus is 02 and that is why I added it to the sides of the bus.  I also cut out an octagon for a stop sign.
It opens up to holds treats inside.  Believe it or not, there is a whole bag of fun size candy bars in there!
Here is a close up front view...
And the back.  I lightly used tan chalk ink on the edges to add a bit more dimension.
You can also find Cyndy's version of this school bus box HERE.  It is very fun and much different than mine!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Birthday Plane card ~ with Angeline Choo

Happy Monday!
Angeline from ScrappyScrappy sharing with you a gate card I made for a cute boy's birthday that is coming up.

I have used the SDS Ready for Take Off kit which is just perfect for boys (and men too)!

SVG Attic: Birthday plane card with Angeline Choo #svgattic #scrappyscrappy #card #readyfortakeoff

I have found some paper which was perfect for this coz it had airplane motifs on it. I used some unconventional colors of green & orange and it turned out wonderfully! :) I also added some enamel dots to the clouds for that extra texture.

The best part about this card is the propeller can actually move! Perfect for the birthday boy to have fun with his birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful week ahead.

Time For A Cup Of Tea

Lisa from The Crafting Cave with you today, ready to share a
cupcake holder turned gift box and a tea cup! I used the cupcake holder
from SVG Attic's Sweet Shop Party to create a gift box for
a Tea Cup/Tea gift. I used the teacup from SVG Attic's Mom's English Garden Set and
at the moment it is not available.
It's being reworked to make it more compatible with your machines.
However, keep checking SVG Attic's site for it.

A little peek through the window with and without the cup.

Okay, first let me say this.....I was blown away by
the size of this cupcake holder. I wasn't thinking full size cupcakes.
I was thinking mini, I don't know why. I figured if nothing else, I would use the cupcake holder
turned Tea Shop to gift the tea and wrap the cup/saucer separately.
No need, the box is big enough!

SVG Attics Sweet Shop Party Cupcake Holder, Cup of Tea
I was a little intimidated when I first started looking at the cupcake holder.
I know, it looks like it would take some time! I'm hear to tell you, it doesn't.

All I did was cut out the pieces using two cutting mats. I assembled as
I cut. I let the paper do all the work for me. So, literally, I cut and glued.
I just made sure to have my supplies and file organized before I started.
I layered the bottom for stability with two layers of paper and one layer
corrugated paper. I punched two holes for ribbon to close and added the tag.

This is the cup from Mom's English Garden Set.

If you have ever wanted to try this cupcake holder and shied away from it,
go for it! It's easy peasy! And the possibilities are endless!  You will be seeing
me use it again and again!

Congrats Grad Card with Beth

Hello all!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with a graduation card to share.  It is from SVG Attic's Hat's Off collection.
I made it in black and white tones so that it would be appropriate for a guy or a girl.
It has a money holder on the inside that makes giving a gift so simple!
I added foam tape behind the word Grad for extra dimension.  I really love the glitter paper I used for the hat.  It is so shiny in real life!  I made the tassel from white embroidery floss.
The Hat's Off collection is perfect for graduation and I also really like the Up For Grads set for even more graduation projects!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

For the Graduate

Happy Monday! Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine here today, hope you all had a very Happy Mother's Day! I did even though I was snowed in under a foot of snow!
Well now it's time to think about graduation! Especially in my house, my daughter is graduating from High School. Her school colors are red and white and she is graduating with High honors which is where the gold(yellow) comes in. I used SVG Attic Hat's Off collection to put this together. Hope you enjoy!

This is the scroll card. I love the tear-apart to get the money out.

This Grad hat is just too cute! I had to put a gold tassel on it because my daughter's tassel will be gold. And after all those tests are done what else would you want but starbucks and chocolate.

This gift bag is amazing and pretty sure I will be making more for all my daughter's friends!

The tag is not included in the collection but there is one that is cute. I did color the owl myself, kinda proud of how it turned out.
Both of these cut outs (below) are part of the collection and I had to have something on the back of the bag!

And of course I have to show you a side view. I popped the star panel and 2015 to add dimension.

Here is a list of what else I used to put this great collection together:

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a Great Day!
