Shaped July 4th Card with Beth

I have three people in my family whose birthdays are on the 4th of July...my dad and two cousins.  Crazy, right?  So when I saw the Stars and Stripes card kit from SVG Attic I knew the shaped July 4th card would be perfect as birthday cards :)  A little non-traditional, but very fun!
It was so easy to make!  Plus I made the matching A7 envelope included in that kit out of patterned cardstock.  I popped a couple of the elements up with foam tape and added a few red sequins and lots of white doodle dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day and a great Fourth of July!

the BUZZ with the JGW Blooming Card Kit

Hi, Allie here from My Card Party with a card from the JGW Blooming Card Kit.

This fun Blooming Card Kit has so many cute cards, along with an envelope.

I made mine as shown, changing up the colors so it's a little more monochromatic.
I double distressed the hive with Peanut Brittle and Rich Cocoa inks. The Peanut Brittle was kind of rubbed on, where the Rich Cocoa was sponged on, a little heavier in some places. I also used some Canteloupe ink to bring out the dots in the cardstock. I pop dotted almost everything at different heights. The wings on the Bee are inked with Summer Sky and glittered.

Supplies:

Blooming Card Kit (shown above)
Cardstock, Inks (Memento Inks from Imagine Crafts), Glitter, Adhesive

Thanks for joining me today!

A Star is Born! with Melissa

When I purchased the Vintage Nation kit a long while back, the main reason I loved it was the beautiful 3D star.  Yet- I always have something else to make, for some occasion or other, and never found a reasonable occasion to "need" to make the Star.  Today- I did.  Just Because I wanted to! :)  Good reason, right?

I used some paper that I love the colors of, and made a "happy star" to brighten an otherwise less than stellar
week.  I actually like all of the Vintage Nation kit, as it has so many pieces that are just fun for lots of celebratory occasions and even the winter holidays!

I hope that today's project made you smile a little too- make today and everyday a wonderful one!

Make mine a Strawberry, please ~ with Courtney

For my project today I used the Here's to you Dad SVG Kit.  I took the Beer Mug gift box and left off the handle. I cut the froth out twice and glued them together to get the effect of whipped cream topping.  I punched two holes in the top for the straws  I just think it is so cute.  I hope you do to.

SVG Attic files are just a breeze to work with.  And they are all so very adorable.  Take the time to browse the store.  You will not be disappointed.

Thank you for stopping.

Have a fabulously crafty day !! ♥

Barnyard Card with Beth

This is Beth from Beth's Beauties and my sweet little nephew turned 5 and boy oh boy, he is country all the way!  I made this special barnyard card for him :)
All of the cutting files were from SVG Attic's Down On The Farm set.  I welded two barn sections together to create the card base and the card is 5".
See that sweet cow and little chicken?  I think they turned out so cute!  I embossed the red barn layer with an embossing folder to simulate barn siding.
Last, but not least I hand cut the pennants and stamped a letter on each one to display his name across the banner.  The Trendy Twine was the perfect finishing touch for it!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Like I said, I'm in a patriotic state of mind, LOL! I used the SVG Attic Vintage Nation kit, combining several different components of it to create this card.

Spring Fling Kit: Not Just For Spring

Hello! Allie here from My Card Party sharing a SUMMER project I made using the pinwheel cutting file from the Spring Fling Kit.

And here's my "Summery" Wreath.

spring fling wreath

I resized the pinwheel so I could fit 8 on a page. Each pinwheel is two pieces, so at just under 3" each, you can fit 16 on a page.  For the wreath, I made an 11" circle that filled the page, and then cut a smaller 8.5" circle out of the center.  I chose a fun hot pink patterned paper so that when it showed, it offered a little pop of color.

My pinwheels are slightly flatter than the ones shown in the kit. I really wanted the yellow polka dots to pop a bit more.

To finish it off, I added bling, a tag, flowers and decorative brads to the center. The papers, tag and brads are from Echo Park's Summer Bliss Collection. The bling is trimmed bits of Silver Swirls Finesse from Want2Scrap. The pink and green flowers are new from Want2Scrap. The white flowers are from Wild Orchid.

Thanks for looking today. Take a look through all the SEASONS to find something you can use for your SUMMER projects.

Father's Day Tools with Beth

Hello all!  This is Beth from Beth's Beauties here to share with you what fun gifts I am going to be giving my Dad and Father-In-Law for Father's Day!  Both of these are from SVG Attic's Tools Rule set.
I made the drill from that set and added a Hershey's chocolate bar inside.  The size that fits in this is the 1.55 oz. bar.  For the instructions on how to assemble this drill, visit HERE.
The other one I made was the wrench.  Aren't these so fun?
This one holds a regular size candy bar like a Snickers, Milky Way, etc.  I chose to use a 3 Musketeers bar since its silver packaging matched the wrench so well.
To find the instructions on assembling the wrench, go HERE.

If you haven't made the guys in your life their cards or gifts for Father's Day yet, check out these two new sets from SVG Attic...

SVG Attic-Snapdragon Snippets Summer Lovin' Blog Hop

Welcome to the SVG Attic-SnapDragon Snippets Summer Lovin' co-blog hop!  We are so excited to have you join us today!

This is your first stop of the hop in which you will be inspired by the creativity of the design teams of SVG Attic and Snapdragon Snippets.  You are sure to find many wonderful projects that will be at the top of you summer crafting lists!

Here is the first project for the hop:
June is the month for weddings!  If you are like me, you have been invited to a few.  Everyone loves personalized gifts and it is a bonus if it is handmade.  I created these tiles for two of the weddings I am invited to using the Full Split Monogram Alphabet at SVG Attic.
I made them on two different colors of tiles, this one is more of a tan, but it has some gray in it as well.  You can purchase the split letter "R" by itself here.  I used Times New Roman font for the last name and for the est. date at the bottom of the tile.  For the border, I simply made a 11" square and a 10.5" square in my computer software and the result was a .25" border.
This tile is more of the black/gray family.  The letter "G" is available here as a single file.

Now how about some blog hop prizes??

SVG Attic is offering two, yes TWO gift cards to their store for the prizes!

Hats Off to the Grad -- with Julie

Hello, and happy Tuesday, crafty friends! Julie Odil here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers
I've needed a bunch of Graduation cards this year, so I'm glad I found this super cute, really easy SVG file that I could make whenever I needed a card QUICK.  It's part of the SVG Attic kit, "Up for Grads".  I find out the school colors of the graduate, and can make the card to fit those colors.
Here it is in maroon and gold:

and here's a version in blue and red:

The inside has a place for a gift card, if you choose to cut it that way.  Very cool!
The SVG Attic design team and the Snapdragon Snippets design team are having a blog hop on June 7. Please hop with us! It all starts on the SVG Attic blog.

Construction Hat and Truck with Beth

Hi!  This is Beth from Beth's Beauties, and I have three young boys, so when I saw the construction sets that were recently released on SVG Attic, I knew I needed to have them :)  First up, I made a dump truck using the file from the Work Zone set.
Guess what, the truck bed even lifts up :)  I inked around the window cuts and the details on the truck box with brown chalk to add visual interest.
Of course, what fun is it if your child can't dress the part too, so I made this hard hat from SVG Attic's Construction Party Kit.  The patterned paper is from Oriental Trading's Boyz Paper Kit...super cute!
Here is the hat and the truck together.
Finally, I decided to make a plain hat using the bonus hat SVG that is included in the construction hat file from the Construction Party Kit.  (It is the same piece as the construction hat except it is without the holes for adding the crest piece, so it can be made to look like a plain cap).
Here are the two hats side by side.  FYI, if you cut the hats out in the size included in the file, it will fit the head of kids from ages 2-5.  You can resize the hat file larger if you want it to fit older kids.
Of course I couldn't help but include pictures of my 4.5 year old son modelling the hat :)
He really wanted me to make the truck to look like Chuck the dump truck, so I tried, and he really liked the end result.
On a side note, mark your calenders for this Saturday, June 7th...we are having a SVG Attic/Snapdragon Snippets blog hop that starts right here, on the SVG Attic blog!  Hope to see you then!

Have a wonderfully crafty day!
